Jan 6
Epiphany Always celebrated on January 6th



FEBRUARY

Date for 2019 Celebration Determining the Date
Feb 2
The Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ Always celebrated on February 2nd. The feast celebrates the Presentation of Christ in the temple at Jerusalem on the 40th day after His birth.
Feb 26
The Baptism of the Lord It is to be observed the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday in conformance with Scriptures [Matt. 3:16-17 and 4:1]
Feb 27
Ash Wednesday It is observed 46 days before Resurrection Sunday - a date which is established by the beginning of the Essene Year.



Period of LENT

Date for 2019 Celebration Determining the Date
Feb 27 to
Sundown on Apr 13
Lent Starts on Ash Wednesday and ends on Resurrection Sunday. The 40 days of fasting from meat are all of the days in this period except for Sundays.



MARCH

Date for 2019 Celebration Determining the Date
Mar 20 at 11:58 PM Spring Equinox Reference point - not a feast. The date and time are obtained from Astronomic observations. [11:58 PM Jerusalem Time; 9:58 PM GMT]
Mar 25
Annunciation Always celebrated on March 25th because it is nine months before the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus Christ. It can, occasionally, coincide with the first day of the Essene year.
Sundown [1] on Mar 26
The Beginning of the Essene Year Reference point and a Feast Day. The Essene Year starts at sundown of the first Tuesday after the Spring Equinox. [If the Spring Equinox happens to fall after the sundown of a calendar Tuesday, the Essene Year will start after the sundown of the Tuesday of the following week.]
Sundown on Mar 26 to Sundown on Mar 27
First day of the Essene Year - Rosh Hashanah Starts at sundown when the Essene Year starts (always on a Tuesday) until sundown of the following day (always Wednesday).



APRIL

Apr 1
Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth The seventh day after the Annunciation
Apr 7
Palm Sunday It is the Sunday before the Tuesday when Jesus observed Passover.
Sundown Apr 8 to Sundown Apr 9
The 14th day of the Essene year Reference point - not a feast. It is determined by adding 13 days to the first day of the Essene year. Begins on a Monday sundown and ends at sundown of the following Tuesday.

Passover
(Jesus' Last Passover)
It is observed at sundown of the day when the 14th day of the Essene year ends.
Apr 11
Holy Thursday Memorial of the Crucifixion. It is the Thursday of the week when the Passover is observed.
Apr 12
(Special Time at 3PM)
Holy Friday Solemnity of the time when Jesus released His Spirit to the Father - 3 PM on the Friday of the week when the Passover is observed.
Apr 13
Holy Saturday It is the Saturday of the week when the Passover is observed. After the sundown on Holy Saturday the celebration of the Resurrection commences.
Apr 14
Easter Sunday The Sunday immediately following the celebration of the Passover on the prior Tuesday.
Apr 21
(a) Divine Mercy Sunday;
(b) 8th Day after
Sukkot
The Sunday following Easter/Resurrection Sunday. Which also is the eighth day after Sukkot [Numbers 29:35]



APRIL - Multi-day Feasts

Date for 2019 Celebration Determining the Date
Sundown Apr 9 to Sundown Apr 13
Period of the Unleavened Bread Period from the sundown on the Tuesday of the Passover until sundown of Holy Saturday (Resurrection).
Sundown Apr 9 to
Apr 12 at 3PM
Yom Kippur
(atonement and repentance)
Period from sundown on the Tuesday of the Passover until 3 PM of Holy Friday.
Sundown Apr 13 to Sundown Apr 20
Sukkot
(freedom from slavery)
These are seven days: From sundown of Holy Saturday (Resurrection) until the sundown of the following Saturday - the Saturday prior to Sunday of Divine Mercy. In this period the Exodus - the freedom from slavery - is memorialized.



MAY

Date for 2019 Celebration Determining the Date
May 23
The Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ It is celebrated 40 days after Holy Saturday. It always falls on a Thursday.
May 26
Christ the King (New Convention) It is to be celebrated on the Sunday that follows Ascension Thursday and before Pentecost Sunday.



JUNE

Date for 2019 Celebration Determining the Date
Jun 2 (a) Pentecost Sunday;
(b)
Shavuot
It is celebrated 50 days after Holy Saturday.
Shavuot: Celebrates the delivery of the Ten Commandments by God to Moses.
Jun 9
Holy Trinity Sunday The Sunday following Pentecost Sunday.
Jun 16
Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ The Sunday following Holy Trinity Sunday.
Jun 21
Sacred Heart of Jesus It is celebrated on the second Friday after Holy Trinity Sunday.
Jun 22
Immaculate Heart of Mary It is celebrated on the Saturday immediately following the celebration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.



JULY

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Always celebrated on July 16th



AUGUST

Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ

(b) Chanukah: Celebrates the miraculously illuminated Menorah of the rededicated Jewish Temple for eight consecutive days
