News Report On Ukraine
[This report was sent by Mr. ZM,  a close cooperator from Ukraine]

Some updates and clarifications about situation in Ukraine. What does "invasion" mean?

Before, most of Russian forces consisted of mercenaries paid by Russia, local criminals and FSB/KGB/Military special forces who controlled those terrorists. After successful Ukrainian military operations and support from people, a lot of terrorist were wiped out.

In to 2-3 weeks we removed all of them and moved the front line to border with Russia. Seeing this, Putin ordered formal invasion using regular military units. Currently the number is around 10,000 - 15,000 troops with proportional number of heavy armor.

Mostly they are soldiers 18-25 years old who never shot a living target before.

That's why there was an "invasion".

- Within two days after the invasion we lost around 500 people after they were surrounded by Russian army.

- There is an ongoing war. For example, in a recent day there were 35 clashes (e.g. not an ocassional exchange of fire but clashes between Ukraine and Russian forces)

- Russia forced parents of dead Russian soldiers to deny their involvement in war in Ukraine so they even removed their names from graves and cleaned social networks for any references to their dead children

- Brother of prominent Russian media star who openly opposed war with Ukraine was killed

- The following EU countries are actively blocking new sanctions against Russia even after yet another invasion: Hungary, Cyprus, Slovakia, Czech Republic

- Majority of Ukrainian Parliament are agents of Russia. Country tries to avoid official declaration of war because that may cause the cancellation of Parliament elections due this October and paralyze the legal side. Without new Parliament there is no hope because current Parliament rejected absolutely all good laws.

- Russia, through one of the "talking heads", declared that Khazakhstan, as a state never existed, it's just a "territory"

- Putin wants to put Nadia Savchenko, one of the most visible Ukrainian prisoners into forced psychiatric medical course. For historical reference, in Soviet Union that's how state dealed with people who had "other thoughts"

- There are many reports that Russian regular army doesn't leave hostages and kill everybody, including wounded. At least one Ukrainian village near Russian border ceased to exist. About 60 locals who decided to stay were executed and all buildings were destroyed using tanks.

Bottom line, situation is very very bad and getting even more horrible.

miguel de Portugal comments: The Soviets will always be Soviets and act as Soviets!

It is an absolute scandal that the U.S. and U.K. (the other signatories of the trampled upon treaty), plus the EU countries are doing the same thing they did when Hitler started his invasion in Austria. Looking the other way hoping that "it would go away".

The U.K. Prime minister made that comparison two or three days ago.... yet has done nothing about it, and President Obama, between vacations and social engagements, is doing less.

Tragically, this is the reality we have been announcing since 1991-91.

As we wrote, the minor details will be changed "on the go" as needed, but whether it is through Ukraine or by the action of ISIS (read next news report) or something else, the world is plunging into the abyss right on schedule - as we keep repeating and most keep ignoring also hoping that "it would go away".

We keep praying for quick Divine Action so that the suffering of His Elect is minimized.

Saudi King Abdullah warns West will be jihadists' next target. (1)

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has warned that the West will be the next target of the jihadists sweeping through Syria and Iraq, unless there is "rapid" action.

"If we ignore them, I am sure they will reach Europe in a month and America in another month," he said in remarks quoted today by Asharq al-Awsat daily.

"Terrorism knows no border and its danger could affect several countries outside the Middle East," said the king who was speaking at a welcoming ceremony yesterday for new ambassadors, including a new envoy from Saudi ally the United States.

The Islamic State (IS) jihadist group has prompted widespread concern as it advances in both Syria and Iraq, killing hundreds of people, including in gruesome beheadings and mass executions. Lack of action would be "unacceptable" in the face of the phenomenon, King Abdullah said.

"You see how they (jihadists) carry out beheadings and make children show the severed heads in the street," he said, condemning the "cruelty" of such acts.

"It is no secret to you, what they have done and what they have yet to do. I ask you to transmit this message to your leaders: 'Fight terrorism with force, reason and (necessary) speed'."

miguel de Portugal comments: Sadly, humanity - with most of it leaders - seem to be in a catatonic state, unable to acknowledge and react to all the dangers that are at work upon it.

That is the way it is supposed to be. God has allowed satan a free hand on the world and only those who are under the Wing of God are free from falling into his snares.

Truly, I am beginning to get very tired of repeating the same thing over and over again for decades and seeing very little results in the behavior of those who should know better!

As you may recall, the purpose of this page - Private News Commntary - has been....

..... to assist the faithful in recognizing the signs and lies of These End Times.

Somehow, many self appointed Shepherds of These Times are trying to convince the faithful that the Apocalypse will be, using street slang, "a piece of cake" for them and "hell" for all others.

The faithful are led to believe that if they "do this" and "do that" they do not have a thing to worry about (of course, so long as that between the "do this" and the "do that" they send in a donation).

Others lead the faithful to believe that "All Is Well" and will continue to be, of course, as long as those donations keep coming in...

As we conveyed on today's Private FYI&R mailing, every day we continue to fall further behind  in the fulfillment of my functions. This causes us not to address matters of greater importance than commenting on the daily news - important as they may be.

Since those who receive this Private News Commentary mailing should by now be fully aware that the End of These Times is not at our doors but actually crossing the threshold, and should not expect any let up (1) in the global crises, we will discontinue this mailing until we have worked through most of the backlog that has accumulated and which must be processed.

Should there be a news event that we feel must be communicated to our readership and commented upon, we will certainly do so.

God Willing, the Divine Encouragement page will continue to be published as usual.

All correspondence will eventually be responded to if its contents require that we do.

(1) There will not be a let up - period!  Not even another delay. The is world free falling into the abyss and there is no going back. The sooner people understand this, the more effectively they will prepare themselves spiritually for the "crash".

News Report On Ukraine
[This report was sent by Mr. ZM,  a close cooperator from Ukraine]
Some news items which potentially were missing from West news media
- During informal conversation, the Russian side threatened Ukraine with usage of tactical nuclear weapons - this information from Ukrainian Defense Minister

- Putin threatened Barroso from EU that "If I Want, I Will Take Kiev in Two Weeks"

- There were numerous reports that at least some Russian soldiers were really thinking that they are on military drills in the Rostov region of Russia, because some of them were very confused when they captured Ukrainian military

- Ukrainian military boat was shot by Russian helicopter

- Russia is actively using tactical ballistic missiles and air bombardment using cluster bombs

- Russians didn't identify one of the most known public fighter they captured when they surrounded Ukrainian forces. He managed to escape while being wounded in the head.

- Don't forget that many "official" messages from Russian side are targeted at internal consumption. The Russian version of reality is that they are fighting Nazis in Ukraine

- Russians first agreed to open a window for Ukrainian army to retreat then hit them with everything they got during transition even knowing that Ukrainian army had Russian soldiers captured and transported them

- Terrorist took a few children in one of the occupied cities and forced them to "visit school and celebrate 1st of September - beginning of academical year" on camera so Russian media can show this "happy"-sickening feed on Russian TV

Some of the usage of "humanitarian convoy" from Russia:

- Machinery from one Ukrainian factory from Luhansk - which manufactured advanced machines used in engines and military - was robbed and "transported" completely to Russia. Basically state level robbery.

- Some trucks were used to traffic back dead bodies of Russian soldiers

- Trucks carried much more fuel that they needed for given distance and were basically as a fuel trucks

- Second "humanitarian convoy" is already at border again

News Report

Once again, we remind you that you can monitor the real state of events in the world from the comfort and security of your home.....

Do you really want to see how serious the World Masters are taking the threats the Western Powers are addressing Russia as a result of their unrelenting attacks to the sovereignty of Ukraine?

Do you really want to see how truly concerned they are about ISIS?

Take a look at the markets at:

North and South America

Check on it regularly and you will see that it is business as usual.

Then take a look at:

The Wolrd Gold Price and Trends

You will then realize that the turbulence on a worldwide scale, although real,  IS controlled and orchestrated by the World Masters.  Only when they lose control - become scared - you will see it reflected on the world markets and gold prices. As long as events are developing in accordance to their schedule, all you will see in the world markets is normality no matter what the level of political chaos indicates

Of course, what they do not know is that, ultimately, they are not in control but being allowed to act "for a time" as Hitler was.

Russian General Calls for Preemptive Nuclear Strike Doctrine Against NATO. (1)

A Russian general has called for Russia to revamp its military doctrine, last updated in 2010, to clearly identify the U.S. and its NATO allies as Moscow's enemy number one and spell out the conditions under which Russia would launch a preemptive nuclear strike against the 28-member military alliance, Interfax reported Wednesday.

Russia's military doctrine, a strategy document through which the government interprets military threats and crafts possible responses, is being revised in light of threats connected to the Arab Spring, the Syrian civil war and the conflict in Ukraine, the deputy chief of the Kremlin's security council told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

miguel de Portugal comments: Just in case the West though that the "New and Improved" Russia was kidding.....

Such news should result in another fine dinner and round of cocktails plus the traditional "family photo" by the European Union and NATO officials.... and that would be just about it! It seems that such is the best that they can do when faced with a real crisis.

Homeland Security Arms Local Cops With Super Spy Bug. (1)

The Tacoma News Tribune reported that police in Tacoma, Wash., bought - and quietly used for five years - surveillance equipment that can sweep up records of every mobile telephone call, text message, and data transfer up to a half-mile from the device.

Known as a Stingray and manufactured by Harris (HRS), a Pentagon contractor based in Melbourne, Fla., the device is small enough to be carried in a car. It tricks mobile phones into thinking it's a cell tower, drawing information, the paper said.

Use of the technology is widespread across the U.S. More than 40 law enforcement agencies in 17 states have similar monitoring equipment, known as "cell site simulators" or "IMSI catchers," .....

miguel de Portugal comments: And people worry about NSA just monitoring phone traffic?

If such device mimics a cell tower maybe the Stingray users have access to what is said and transmitted via SMS - and without any court order nor supervision.

U.S. Finds 'Backoff' Hacker Tool Is Widespread. (1)
More than 1,000 American businesses have been affected by the (same)cyberattack that hit the in-store cash register systems at Target, Supervalu and most recently UPS Stores, the Department of Homeland Security said in an advisory released on Friday.

The attacks were much more pervasive than previously reported, the advisory said, and hackers were pilfering the data of millions of payment cards from American consumers without companies knowing about it.

The breadth of the breaches,....  underscored the vulnerability of payment systems widely used by retail stores across the country.

On July 31, Homeland Security, along with the Secret Service,... . and their partners in the security industry, warned companies to check their in-store cash register systems for a malware package that security experts called Backoff after a word that appeared in its code. Until that point, Backoff malware and variations of it were undetectable by antivirus products.

miguel de Portugal comments: More reasons to watch one's "financial steps". It seems that the safest way to function in most cases is through payment in cash or check and securing a receipt of the transaction.

Portugal gold reserves amount to 13 billion Euro (about 17 billion USD)

Since the beginning of the year Portugal's gold assets have increased in value by 1.4 billion Euro (about 1.8 billion USD), however, in the current legal scheme of the European Union Monetary system, the (supposedly) sovereign countries cannot freely sell their gold holdings - even if it is to pay the debt owed by the country to the European Union.

Therefore, even though Portugal would like to sell some gold to pay its debt, it is nor allowed to!

This commitment between Portugal and the European Union money masters will be renewed on September 27th for another five years.

miguel de Portugal comments: This is another of those "benefits" of the European Union membership; one that most European citizens know nothing about.

In "plain talk": It is as one is a slave without the right of purchasing one's freedom.

Remember what we recently wrote about the plight of Ukrainians and the alleged benefits of the European Union membership:

Now then, let us slip into the shoes of an average Ukrainian (although the logic for this scenario would apply to a citizen of any nation) and ponder how they may eventually start thinking.

1. Russia has invaded us at will and our Western allies have done nothing of any significance to help us.
2. If the situation had been the opposite, that is, if Russia were our ally and the Western powers had started an invasion, Russia would have stopped them cold.
3. What do we have to gain siding with our Western allies? European Union membership? [If they asked the "man in the street" in Portugal, Spain, Greece, Cyprus etc., etc. about the "benefits" of the European Union, they would be told to run fast, really fast - as fast as they can - away from any European Union involvement.]

Facebook Testing New Feature That Will Let Your Old Posts Haunt You Forever. (1)

If you've been on Facebook since you were a teenager, we've got some bad news for you: Facebook is reportedly working on a feature that will let your friends search through your old posts ... by keyword.

Bloomberg reported Thursday that the company is testing a new option for the Facebook app that will allow people to search through their friends' posts. People will also be able to comb through old posts on pages they "like."

So if you posted a ridiculous ode to your ex in 2009, this feature would make it a lot easier for your friends to dig it up. All they'd have to do is search for it.

So essentially, if you want to see old posts related to your friend Sarah Jones's wedding, you would search for "Sarah Jones wedding."

$1 Trillion Trove of Rare Minerals Revealed Under Afghanistan. (1)

Despite being one of the poorest nations in the world, Afghanistan may be sitting on one of the richest troves of minerals in the world, valued at nearly $1 trillion, according to U.S. scientists.

Afghanistan, a country nearly the size of Texas, is loaded with minerals...  The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) began inspecting what mineral resources Afghanistan had after U.S.-led forces drove the Taliban from power in the country in 2004. As it turns out, the Afghanistan Geological Survey staff had kept Soviet geological maps and reports up to 50 years old or more that hinted at a geological gold mine.

The surveys verified all the major Soviet finds. Afghanistan may hold 60 million tons of copper, 2.2 billion tons of iron ore, 1.4 million tons of rare earth elements such as lanthanum, cerium and neodymium, and lodes of aluminum, gold, silver, zinc, mercury and lithium. For instance, the Khanneshin carbonatite deposit in Afghanistan's Helmand province is valued at $89 billion, full as it is with rare earth elements.

"Afghanistan is a country that is very, very rich in mineral resources," Jack Medlin, a geologist and program manager of the U.S. Geological Survey's Afghanistan project, told Live Science. "We've identified the potential for at least 24 world-class mineral deposits." The scientists' work was detailed in the Aug. 15 issue of the journal Science.

miguel de Portugal comments: Well, well, well... Now we see what was the reason for the Soviet's original interest in Afghanistan and, then, the interest of the West in getting the Soviets out of there.

In any case - were such treasure trove ever exploited, the Afghans would remain as poor as the mineral rich African countries' citizens and the mineral rich Brazilian citizens have remained. A few hustlers will hit the proverbial "Jack Pot" and that will be just about it.

Destroying ISIS May Take Years, U.S. Officials Say (1)

The Obama administration is preparing to carry out a campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria that may take three years to complete, requiring a sustained effort that could last until after President Obama has left office, according to senior administration officials.

The first phase, an air campaign with nearly 145 airstrikes in the past month, is already underway to protect ethnic and religious minorities and American diplomatic, intelligence and military personnel, and their facilities, as well as to begin rolling back ISIS gains in northern and western Iraq.

The next phase, which would begin sometime after Iraq forms a more inclusive government, scheduled this week, is expected to involve an intensified effort to train, advise or equip the Iraqi military, Kurdish fighters and possibly members of Sunni tribes.

The final, toughest and most politically controversial phase of the operation - destroying the terrorist army in its sanctuary inside Syria - might not be completed until the next administration.

miguel de Portugal comments: I can still remember viewing a speech/exhortation delivered by President Bush right after the 9-11 events where he said that it could take up to 25 years to destroy Al-Qaeda (win the war against terrorism).

We understood that as "it will take a few years to implement what Phase III of a certain program". An implementation which required a 9-11-like event to speed its approval  through Congress and the concurrence of the majority of the general public.

Al-Qaeda, as the "bogeyman" (2) persona, ended after bin Laden was killed. The same bin Laden who was financed and otherwise assisted by certain elements to take on the Soviets out of Afghanistan.

Obviously, not everything that was required was accomplished before the demise of Al-Qaeda's stardom so another "bogeyman" was needed. An even scarier one than bin Laden's Al-Qaeda.... and ISIS was born.

Now the world is told that to destroy ISIS it will take more time than Mr. Obama's Administration has left.

We could be more explicit on the above dot-to-dot connections but we purposely are not doing so.
(1) News Report
(2) Bogeyman is a common allusion to a mythical creature in many cultures used by adults or older children to frighten bad children into good behavior. This monster has no specific appearance, and conceptions about it can vary drastically from household to household within the same community; in many cases, he has no set appearance in the mind of an adult or child, but is simply a non-specific embodiment of terror.

We are in the midst of a Third World War, says Pope (1)

On his return journey from his visit to Korea, Pope Francis lamented the growing number of conflicts across the globe, saying that we "are now in World War III".

He told journalists on board the papal plane: "Today we are in a world at war everywhere. A man said to me, 'Father, we are in World War III, but spread out in small pockets everywhere.' He was right."

In an extraordinary intervention, the Pope on Monday implied that military action might be necessary to stop the jihadists of the Islamic State (IS) in Iraq...

He said that he is considering going to northern Iraq to show solidarity with those who have been murdered, raped and exiled by the IS.

He added that strong measures were "justified" – so long as these were not the acts of only one country. "In those cases where there is an unjust aggression, I can only say that it is legitimate to stop the unjust aggressor," he said. "I underscore the verb 'stop'. I don't say 'to bomb' or to 'make war', but to 'stop'."

miguel de Portugal comments: Providentially, it may have been in the same speech/exhortation by President Bush (or one delivered the day before or after) mentioned in News Report No. 1 where he clearly stated that the 9-11 events were the start of World War III. (2)

We are not implying that the U.S. government or those of some of it allies are consciously conspiring. What we are saying is that certain elements embedded in those governments, and who have their own demonic agenda, are manipulating said governments to achieve their evil goals.

I do not think that Daniel needs to be consulted if you carefully review this document.

(1)  News Report
(2)  He actually referred to it was the beginning of World War III.  To wit:

US President George W. Bush has said the September 11 revolt of passengers against their hijackers on board Flight 93 had struck the first blow of "World War III". In an interview with the financial news network CNBC, Mr. Bush said he had yet to see the recently released film of the uprising, a dramatic portrayal of events on the United Airlines plane before it crashed in a Pennsylvania field. But he said he agreed with the description of David Beamer, whose son Todd died in the crash, who in a Wall Street Journal commentary last month called it "our first successful counter-attack in our homeland in this new global war, World War III". Mr. Bush said: "I believe that. I believe that it was the first counter-attack to World War III".

The Dalai Lama has told a German newspaper that he should be the last Tibetan spiritual leader, ending a centuries-old religious tradition from his Himalayan homeland.

His comments to the Welt am Sonntag newspaper echo his previous statement that "the institution of the Dalai Lama has served its purpose", but were even more explicit.

Earth's ozone layer is recovering. (1)

Finally, some good news about the environment: The giant hole in Earth's ozone layer is shrinking. The atmospheric layer that protects Earth’s inhabitants from the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays is slowly rebuilding itself, according to a United Nations report published Wednesday.

Scientists credit the recovery to the phasing out of chemicals used in refrigerators, air conditioners and aerosol cans in the 1980s.

"It's a victory for diplomacy and for science and for the fact that we were able to work together," said chemist Mario Molina, who won a Nobel Prize for his research into the ozone layer.

Steven Sotloff Sold To ISIS By 'So-Called Moderate Rebels' Claims Family Spokesperson. (1)

A spokesperson for the family of murdered American journalist Steven Sotloff said on Monday that "moderate" Syrian rebels, backed by the United States government, had sold Sotloff to the Sunni extremist group Islamic State.

"We believe that these so-called moderate rebels that people want our administration to support, one of them sold him probably for something between $25,000 and $50,000 to ISIS and that was the reason he was captured," Barak Barfi, a spokesperson for Sotloff's family, said in an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper late on Monday, citing sources "on the ground."

Sotloff was reportedly kidnapped in Syria in August last year. Barfi said that he was most probably handed over to the militants of Islamic State, formerly known as ISIS, somewhere near the Syrian border with Iraq.

Unidentified Respiratory Virus Likely to Hit Kids Across Country. (1)

A respiratory illness that has already sickened more than a thousand children in 10 states is likely to become a nationwide problem, doctors say.

The disease hasn't been officially identified but officials suspect a rare respiratory virus called human enterovirus 68. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the virus is related to the rhinovirus, which causes the common cold.

Doctors say they are not even sure yet how this particular virus spreads, though the back-to-school season is a normal time for illnesses to spread among children.

DHS lost track of thousands of foreign students in U.S. (1)

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has lost tabs on more than 6,000 foreign students who had entered the United States on student visas which have since expired - effectively vanishing without a trace.

As ABC Newsreports, the massive error was revealed by DHS officials who responded to ABC’s inquiry as part of an investigation following complaints about the system of entry for foreign students.

"My greatest concern is that they could be doing anything," said Peter Edge, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement representative who is part of the investigation, "Some of them could be here to do us harm."

The lapse follows as the department struggles to continually keep track of the rapidly growing number of students coming to the country to study. That number is now over one million each year, with roughly 58,000 students purportedly "overstaying" their allotted time.

The 6,000 come from this number, after agents determined them to be of "heightened concern."

miguel de Portugal comments: This is understandable because of the numbers involved, yet intolerable because of the danger it represents.

Now then.... the authorities must have the photographs of all of those students. That is a requirement to secure a visa.

Therefore, we should make a public appeal - with photographs included - via the Internet, Twitter, Facebook, etc.  for those "missing" students to report to the nearest Immigration and Naturalization office within a month. Those who have not reported in within that period should have their photographs posted again, this time for their arrest and deportation. Period!

I have been a foreigner in many nations and it is crystal clear to me that a visitor must abide by the laws and regulations of the host country. If not, they should be tracked down and sent home without being able to return to the country in question for at least 5 years.

As I used to tell my many foreign student friends at Texas A&M and at U.C.  Berkeley - "If you do not like how things are done here, pack your bags and go home!" Amazingly enough, I never lost a friend because they were able to see the unarguable point.

US courts committee backs expanded FBI authority to remotely access computers. (1)

The federal judiciary's rules committee has backed a Justice Department proposal that would broaden the ability of FBI agents to remotely gain access to people's computers possibly involved in criminal activities.

When the FBI seeks the authority to hack into people's computers as part of its investigations, courts can only grant warrants for the geographic areas within their jurisdiction.

"Investigators may need to coordinate with agents, prosecutors, and magistrate judges in every judicial district in which the computers are known to be located to obtain warrants authorizing the remote access of those computers," the advisory committee said in its Aug. 15 draft.

With a warrant, investigators can remotely install software on computers to determine their IP addresses and other information.

miguel de Portugal comments: We applaud this idea but there is a bit of a problem which, unless they compensate for, would create legal chaos.

Some time ago we read (and perhaps published in our pages) that a new technique used by pedophiles was to access a neighbor's computer via a wireless system and conduct their perverted affairs using it. If what we read above were to be implemented without the appropriate safeguards, it will be the innocent neighbor who will be entrapped by the authorities and will probably take an Act of God to track down who the phantom user was. Some phantom users, according to the authorities, have gone as far as storing child pornography in their neighbors computer, who, of course, knew nothing about it since even the file would be invisible to him. Not a pretty sight!, as the saying goes.

The above, of course, applies to any crime - whether drug, human and organ trafficking, etc.

Pastor with a Punch (1)

"Can you love your neighbor as yourself and at the same time knee him in the face as hard as you can?"

So wondered Pastor Paul Burress, as we interviewed him about his "fight ministry," which he started to bring his take on Christianity to more people in Rochester, N.Y. For Mr. Burress and his ministry, the answer is yes - members of his congregation fight one another in church on a regular basis.

As this Op-Doc video shows, Mr. Burress is one of a growing number of pastors who incorporate mixed martial arts (M.M.A.), a violent sport also known as cage fighting that embraces kickboxing and wrestling, into their parishes.

miguel de Portugal comments: How transparent! In less than 60 seconds of the video this kind of "ministry" - and its real purpose - became clear as the finest crystal.

Just another version of serving Mammon while pretending to serve God. Other versions, of course, are: (a) The Opus Dei "theology"; (b) The jihadists (now by certain muslims and before by certain Christians); etc.

Terrorist could get Syria chemical weapons. (1)

The United States is concerned that the Islamic State group and other terrorists could get a hold of chemical weapons if Syria is hiding any stockpiles, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations said Thursday.

Samantha Power spoke to reporters after the Security Council received a briefing from Sigrid Kaag, who heads the international effort to rid Syria of its chemical weapons.

The joint mission of the United Nations and the Organization for the prohibition of Chemical Weapons will end at the end of the month after destroying nearly all of Syria's declared stockpile. But Kaag said the OPCW is still working with Syria to resolve discrepancies in its declaration, which she said range from outdated records to discrepancies on the volume of materials.

miguel de Portugal comments: As we reported and commented on August 26th:

U.S. Ship Completes Destruction of Syria's Most Dangerous Chemicals

The Pentagon has announced the completion of the destruction of the most dangerous of Syria's chemical weapons aboard the American ship MV Cape Ray.   Since early July the ship has been in international waters in the Mediterranean Sea destroying 600 tons of a nerve gas precursor and 20 tons of mustard agent.

miguel de Portugal comments: They destroyed only what Syria turned over to the whatever international commission was invented to receive the WMD. This does not mean that Syria does not hold twice as much dangerous chemicals hidden someplace for the proverbial "rainy day".

Remember - we could not find bin Laden for years, and he was easier to track down than hidden WMD in a hostile nation.

It is truly amazing - every day that goes by the whole of Alice in Wonderland seems more sane when compared with the reality that the world is living through now and which most are believing!!!

Iceland's latest volcano eruption worsens. (1)

Lava continued to emerge from Iceland's Bardarbunga volcano on Friday and officials say the fissures are getting longer.

Scientists are concerned that if the latest eruption spreads to an ice cap 4 kilometres away, the subsequent explosion could generate ash clouds.

In 2010, much of European airspace was shut for several days when ash clouds from another volcano spread across the continent.

miguel de Portugal comments: What they do not report (probably because they are not aware of it) is that there has been almost a daily earthquake of over 5.0 in the Richter scale in Iceland for some time now.

It would be amazing if, with the volcanic instability in Iceland, the world does not witness not one but two or three major volcanic eruptions in Iceland if these daily over 5.0 earthquakes continue.

Home Depot Data Breach Could Be the Largest Yet. (1)

Home Depot confirmed on Monday that hackers had broken into its in-store payments systems, in what could be the largest known breach of a retail company's computer network.

The retailer said the exact number of customers affected was still not clear. But a person briefed on the investigation said the total number of credit card numbers stolen at Home Depot could top 60 million. By comparison, the breach last year at Target, the largest known attack to date, affected 40 million cardholders.

The breach may have affected any customer at Home Depot stores in the United States and Canada from April to early last week, said Paula Drake, a company spokeswoman. Customers at Home Depot’s Mexico stores were not affected, nor were online shoppers at Personal identification numbers for debit cards were not taken, she said.

"Russia Wants To Take 'All Of Ukraine', Recreate Soviet Union": Ukraine Prime Minister. (1)

Ukraine's Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said Saturday that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to destroy Ukraine as an independent country and re-establish the Soviet Union. Yatsenyuk made these comments at a news conference in Kiev, being attended by European and Ukrainian lawmakers.

"We are still in a stage of war and the key aggressor is the Russian Federation ... Putin wants another frozen conflict [in eastern Ukraine]," Yatsenyuk said at the conference, according to Reuters, adding: "His goal is to take all of Ukraine... Russia is a threat to the global order and to the security of the whole of Europe."

Pro-Putin cult urges return to Soviet 'glory' (2)

By Clem Cecil in Moscow

(Filed: 27/01/2002)

A SINISTER new organisation, backed by the Kremlin, is urging the Russian people to reject pro-Western views and go back to the "glory" of Soviet Russia.

The 50,000-strong group which calls itself "Walking Together" has strict rules and indoctrination methods, but unlike the Chinese group it has the support of the authorities.
"We want to create a new generation to help the president bring Russia out of crisis," said its founder, Vasily Yakimenko.

The Kremlin's clear involvement can be traced back to the group's beginnings. Mr Yakimenko left a job in the Kremlin administration, where he was overseer of state-run charities, in May 2000 to create Walking Together.
The senior patron of the movement is Vladislav Surkov, the deputy head of the presidential administration.
The group is vehemently pro-Putin and its first public action was a huge rally in November 2000 to celebrate his presidency.

Wearing T-shirts emblazoned with Putin's face, thousands gathered near the Kremlin and spoke of their love for the president. Mr Putin later received the organisers of the rally in the Kremlin.

It is getting harder and harder for me to remain motivated to carry on. Most people are blind and, when flashing signs are placed before their eyes alerting them of dangers, they still cannot see it.

My motivation to carry on is from God, otherwise I would consider our current publishing efforts a complete waste of time.

Pope Francis warns on 'piecemeal World War III' (1)

A "piecemeal" World War III may have already begun with the current spate of crimes, massacres and destruction, Pope Francis has warned.

"War is madness," the Pope said at a memorial to 100,000 Italian soldiers at Redipuglia cemetery near Slovenia.

The Argentine Pope has often condemned the idea of war in God's name.

Only last month, Pope Francis said the international community would be justified in using force to stop what he called "unjust aggression" by Islamic State militants, who have killed or displaced thousands of people in Iraq and Syria, including many Christians, the BBC's David Willey reports.

miguel de Portugal comments: Recently we addressed how Bergoglio plans to profit for this, so we will not repeat ourselves.

Instead, we wish to point out how far off Christianity is from the course Jesus Christ clearly set. Allow us to explain.

Even if 100,000 coalition troops descended upon ISIL and killed each single of their claimed 30,000 members and destroyed every weapon in their arsenal, in a very short time the threat would reappear with renewed vengeance, manpower and resources.

That is why Jesus clearly stated:

But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you: [Matthew 5:44]

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them that calumniate you. [Luke 6:28]

But love ye your enemies: do good, and lend, hoping for nothing thereby: and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the sons of the Highest; for he is kind to the unthankful, and to the evil. [Luke 6:35]

That is the real meaning of the Triumph of The Cross; the only solution to the manifestation of evil.

Of this He clearly reminded me today. He clearly indicated to me that the main intention for the Mass offered in celebration of the Triumph of the Cross should for the conversion of all ISIL members - in active duty and future. Through His Grace I no longer just believe those teachings, I  know them as well as how they actually work in the Spiritual domain.

If those who have boasted to represent Jesus Christ on Earth for 1600 years had any idea of the truth of His teachings, they would be encouraging the billion or so members they claim to have in their ranks to do exactly the same God moved me to do.

Instead, they do the same thing that they have done for 1600 years - preaching the wrong message: "....the international community would be justified in using force to stop what he called 'unjust aggression' by Islamic State militants".

We strongly encourage anyone who may read these pages to:  Pray for the conversion of all ISIL members - in active duty and future. Sadly I recognize that only a handful will do it; 1600 years of errors are hard to overcome.

As we wrote above - only God keeps me motivated to continue our publishing efforts and not pull the plug on everything.

P.S. May not even one among those will read this page dare to think "Oh, that's easy for him to say!" because none of you have the slightest idea of my background (outside of educational, professional and religious) nor the amount of blood that has been shed by my family under brutal circumstances during the last 150 years. Still, my grandmother prayed on - even though her own brother, a very high profile elected politician, whose first name was given to me, had his brains blown out.

NATO head: threats from Russia, Islamic State. (1)

Members of the U.S.-led alliance must stand shoulder to shoulder to confront simultaneous security threats from Russia and the so-called Islamic State extremist organization, NATO secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen said Monday.

In a farewell speech as NATO's top civilian official, Rasmussen said the alliance finds itself on the front lines of a geopolitical division between "tolerance and fanaticism," and "democracy and totalitarianism."

Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor says technology could lead to "Orwellian world"

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor says that without proper privacy safeguards, the advancement of technology could lead to a world like the one portrayed in "1984" by George Orwell.

Speaking to Oklahoma City University faculty and students, the justice said Thursday that technology has allowed devices to "listen to your conversations from miles away and through your walls." She added: "We are in that brave new world, and we are capable of being in that Orwellian world, too."

The President Obama appointee also discussed the lack of privacy standards concerning drones:

"There are drones flying over the air randomly that are recording everything that's happening on what we consider our private property. That type of technology has to stimulate us to think about what is it that we cherish in privacy and how far we want to protect it and from whom. Because people think that it should be protected just against government intrusion, but I don't like the fact that someone I don't know…can pick up, if they're a private citizen, one of these drones and fly it over my property."

The justice's remarks about drones comes as California is close to joining 10 other states requiring the police to get a court warrant to surveil with a drone.

Those states include Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Montana, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah and Wisconsin. California's bill is pending, awaiting action from Gov. Jerry Brown.

University of Adelaide mechanical engineering students and staff have designed a low-cost and easily made drinking water treatment system suitable for remote communities in Papua New Guinea (PNG) - using foil chip packets and some glass tubing.

The system makes use of UVA radiation direct from the sun to kill pathogens in the water in a continuous feed facility that can be made from improvised materials that are readily available in PNG.

Ukrainian Soldiers Filmed Wearing SS Insignia Deny Neo-Nazi Links. (1)

Ukrainian volunteer soldiers have been broadcast on German television wearing helmets with Nazi symbols.

The soldiers, reportedly from the Azov battalion, were shown on German public broadcaster ZDF wearing uniforms decorated with Nazi motifs, including swastikas and lightning bolt-like runic symbols of the SS, a World War II Nazi paramilitary organisation.

Pro-government Russian media have repeatedly focused on Ukraine's far-right nationalist elements in an effort to discredit President Petro Poroshenko's pro-Western government.

Ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine have also cited Kiev's alleged Nazism as a reason to fight to break away from Ukraine.

miguel de Portugal comments: We inquired about the abov quoted news report with Mr. Z.M., our collaborator from Ukraine. Following is his reponse.

Official Azov marking is "I" and "N" together - "idea of nation". They don't use nazi SS symbol. Even if there was one on fighters helmet - this was more of coincidence.

Here is an interview with the Azov leader on one respected Ukrainian news site. You can use Google Translate to get a general idea.

They are nationalistic and right wing. Many come from nationalistic movements and football hooligans. If you followed Maidan events. You'll recall that they were the only organized groups who openly opposed previous regime. The largest is Right Sector party. All of them are fighting on the East of Ukraine right now.

They are not neo-nazi or antisemitic. They have Ukrainians and Russians as their members, and interesting enough, most of them speak Russian as a primary language.

They, and other groups, are the reason why Ukraine still exist as a state. Our regular military were brain dead on command level because of Russian FSB agents infiltration. Only after some time it started to function as a military. In the meantime - they took on the fight.

As a general observation - yes, the country is leaning more to the right wing, but this is not because of politics. It is more for the survival of both people and state due to the complete lack of military support from West. We have only our fighters between us and Russia. Therefore, I expect even more nationalistic tendencies and war-focused sentiments. There's a lot of similarities between Israel and Ukraine fate and choices, both good and bad. Ukraine is already on the militarization rails.

In addition, because we are in the middle of information warfare, here are some interesting bits:

The author of the original article from Telegraph also wrote the following article. ("The separatists' military commander suggested the jet was carrying corpses, a theory repeated to the Telegraph by fighters at the crash site.")
Basically - an "interpreter of Russian opinion", as it is called in the civilized world now, but, in reality, are just shameless lies.

What he didn't write about are the real nazis: Article One and Article Two

Both are in Russian but the pictures are more descriptive than words.

The site itself is a propaganda machine.

For example - second news item is about "Vesti" newspaper.

This newspaper was a main newspaper of Russian media disinformation machine. People were outraged how it could exist and why special services did not act and stop its activities. The problem was that from the outside world it may have looked like media repression, but in reality - it was not.

Imagine al-Qaeda spreading free newspapers in Washington D.C. in front of White House containing "facts" about "Evil West". That's what happened in Ukraine for months.

Ebola survivor: No time to waste as Obama ups aid. (1)

An American doctor who survived Ebola said there's no time to waste as President Barack Obama outlined his plan to ramp up the U.S. response to the epidemic in West Africa.

"We can't afford to wait months, or even weeks, to take action, to put people on the ground," Dr. Kent Brantly told senators Tuesday.

Obama called the Ebola crisis a threat to world security as he ordered up to 3,000 U.S. military personnel to the region along with an aggressive effort to train health care workers and deliver field hospitals. Under the plan, the government could end up devoting $1 billion to containing the disease.

"If the outbreak is not stopped now, we could be looking at hundreds of thousands of people affected, with profound economic, political and security implications for all of us," Obama said after briefings in Atlanta with doctors from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and from Emory University, where Brantly and two other aid workers with Ebola have been treated.

miguel de Portugal comments: So that our readers understand the seriousness of the problem...

We have a long time collaborator from Portugal who now works in Angola. While discussing the Ebola issue last week with him, his words regarding the borders separating countries were something like: No, they are not porous; the only exist on maps but in a reality it is a "free for all" with no possible control - even if they tried it.

Those words were confirmed, less than an hour before we wrote these lines, by a family who fled Angola when it was "liberated" by Castro-like Soviet agents and now lives in Portugal.

Now... try to contain a deadly plague when the flow of inhabitants among countries is essentially unrestricted.

The Catholic church is on track to become a shrinking cult. (1)

Taking a break from his crusade against civil gay marriage, San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone is establishing an Oratory of St. Philip Neri at Star of the Sea Parish in the city.

New pastor Fr. Joseph Illo, the former chaplain at Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, Calif., says he really wants to concentrate on young adults, offering air hockey and pingpong, among other activities. There will be Sunday and daily Mass in Latin, although it's not clear how in 2014 Mass in a language no one understands will attract young adults. Perhaps the air hockey and the pingpong will.

But the Holy Spirit works in all sorts of strange and wonderful ways, and any effort to attract young adults -- to keep them from leaving the church,....

One can point to an increasingly secular, materialistic culture as a factor in this exodus. But a closer look suggests that young Catholics are increasingly turned off by the attitudes and actions of some American bishops -- the failure to address the child abuse scandal, the harsh opposition to civil gay marriage, the cluelessness of church teaching on contraception, and the refusal to consider women priests.

More recently, Catholic high school students, who can spot dishonesty and hypocrisy a mile away, are reacting with disillusion and disgust at how the church is treating some teachers in Catholic schools.

Bishop Michael Barber of Oakland, Calif., is attempting to coerce Catholic identity with a mandated morality pledge. In trying to clarify his position, Barber wrote, "I am not interested in examining a teacher's private life." He just doesn't want any "public manifestation" of opposition to church teaching. Most thoughtful students will see that for what it is: a clumsy, inept Catholic version of "don't ask, don't tell."

Cincinnati Archbishop Dennis Schnurr upheld the firing of an assistant principal who expressed support for civil gay marriage on his blog. The chancery spokesman stated that such actions "would undermine what students are being taught in the classroom." It would appear that Cincinnati Catholic high school students are not being taught Jesus' message of love and inclusiveness or Pope Francis' words, "Who am I to judge?"

The Cincinnati contract prohibits teachers from "public support of the homosexual lifestyle." That contract language forced a Catholic teacher who is the mother of a gay son to choose between her son and her job. She chose her son.

miguel de Portugal comments:

On the First Part of the News

It is no longer hard to believe that the "new and improved" technique of yet another futile attempt to "Evangelize" is based on - air hockey and Ping-Pong, among other activities.  Anything but Christ!

This is typical Opus Dei fare since they have nothing else to offer, for they do not know Jesus Christ Whose teachings, explained and lived, constitute an irresistible magnet for the young.

>From field experience I know for a fact!

If you wonder how come we know why this is an Opus Dei plan? "Elementary, my dear Watson!" - There will be Sunday and daily Mass in Latin.

On the Second Part of the News

Nonetheless, we fully support this insistence of the hierarchy:

"I am not interested in examining a teacher's private life." (Bishop Michael Barber) He just doesn't want any "public manifestation" of opposition to church teaching.

Opus Dei o no Opus Dei. What he is doing is right. Maybe not the way he is doing it (we do not have the details) but we cannot have teachers or instructors - of an institution which bears the name of Catholic and who instruct the students on the Catholic faith - whose life is a "public manifestation" of opposition to church teaching.

Jesus clearly stated that scandal must be avoided [Matthew 18:7]. Scandal, in the area of teaching faith-related matters or in an institution that carries the name, in this case, of Catholic, occurs when the teachers or instructors publicly endorse and/or live what is contrary to the fundamental tenets of the Faith in question - in this case - the Catholic Faith.

Yes, we are the first to point out that many hierarchs, priests and religious have caused scandal - and continue to do so - but,  Jesus also said Do and Observe Whatsoever They Tell You, But Do Not Follow Their Example. For they preach but they do not practice.

Now, in the case of the teacher who is the mother of a homosexual son, the case may be different if she is not a proponent of homosexual lifestyle.

As a matter of fact - if she is not a proponent of homosexual lifestyle, yet loves and psychologically supports her son unconditionally - this situation could be utilized by the hierarchy to Evangelize by example, if she had been allowed to remain. But then again... how can a hierarch who does not know what evangelization really is could recognize such a golden opportunity to Evangelize?

Security breach prompts more White House security. (1)

The Secret Service tightened security outside the White House after an embarrassing breach in which a man with a knife scaled a fence, ran across the lawn and made it all the way inside before agents stopped him.

Increased surveillance and more officer patrols are among the measures that Secret Service Director Julia Pierson ordered. She also began an investigation into what went wrong Friday evening while the first family was away from the White House.

A member of the House Homeland Committee said Sunday that it was astonishing, at a time of concerns about terrorist attacks, that "someone could actually get into the White House without being stopped."

Out of boredom, he said, he soon began sending profane messages about sex, drugs and alcohol.

Daniel never intended for the fake account to be seen by anyone other than his friends, and it never attracted more than a few dozen followers.

But within weeks the raunchy parody led to a police raid of his home and ignited a debate about online satire, free speech and the limits of a mayor's power.

ISIL releases 49 Turkish hostages. (1)

ISIL Takfiri terrorists have released dozens of Turkish nationals they had taken hostage in northern Iraq for more than three months.

“We brought our citizens to our country this morning,” Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said in televised remarks Saturday.

Davutoglu added that all the 49 Turks including diplomats, children and special forces are in good health.

ISIL terrorists seized the Turkish nationals at Turkey's consulate in the city of Mosul on June 11.

The hostages were taken to the southern Turkish city of Sanliurfa by the Turkish intelligence agency early on Saturday.

Ankara has refused to play a direct role in the so-called international coalition against ISIL, apparently due to fears over the safety of hostages.

The ISIL Takfiri militants managed to seize dozens of villages near Turkey by launching a lightning advance in Syria's Kurdish region, forcing thousands of people from their homes.

Megachurch With a Beat Lures a Young Flock. (1)

A toned and sunburned 32-year-old Australian with the letters F-A-I-T-H tattooed onto his biceps strode onto the stage of a former burlesque theater here and shouted across a sea of upstretched hands and uplifted smartphones: “Let's win this city together!”

The crowd did not need much urging. Young, diverse and devoted to Jesus, the listeners had come to the Belasco Theater from around the city, and from across the country, eager to help an Australian Pentecostal megachurch that is spreading worldwide establish its first outpost on America’s West Coast.

The church, Hillsong, has become a phenomenon, capitalizing on, and in some cases shaping, trends not only in evangelicalism but also in Christian youth culture. Its success would be rare enough at a time when religion is struggling in a secularizing Europe and North America. But Hillsong is even more remarkable because its target is young Christians in big cities, where faith seems out of fashion but where its services are packing them in.

The bank that finances your car. Your employer. An attorney seeking damages. Or even a private investigator seeking a skeleton or two in your closet. They all can find out where you have been, and even where you are likely to go in the near future.

The opportunity to capitalize on this public information is also far quicker than you would imagine.

I know it can work this quickly for one reason: I have personally used this tech to reclaim my own property.

miguel de Portugal comments: As a recording we must repeat: And people worry about NSA monitoring telephone traffic!

For those who may not know this: Your movements - location and time - can be monitored with great accuracy with the "footprints" you leave on your mobile phone provider as you move from the area of one tower to another. This information has been used in court in Portugal to establish the time and location of a defendant when a certain crime was committed.

Frankly, I still prefer the legitimate authorities monitoring its citizens than the "pervert next door" doing it. Just call me old fashioned....

U.S. starts air strikes on Syria as shadowy new threat emerges (1)

But the media focus on IS already starting to look myopic. There are strong indications that the most dangerous threat towards Western countries comes not from IS but from a much more shadowy group based in Syria: Khorasan.

Led by a former close aide to Osama bin Laden, Muhsin al-Fadhli, Khorasan is operating out of Syria and has links with what is left of al-Qaeda in Pakistan. It’s focused much more on global Jihad, and is currently quite separate from IS.

Al-Fadhli himself is only in his mid-30s, but was linked with the al-Qaida leadership as far back as 2001; he was reportedly one of the few people to know in advance about the 9/11 attacks.

In the short term, Washington is presenting this rapidly accelerating war as a decisive action to permanently cripple IS.

It may well look like a success at first -  but that will almost certainly be highly misleading. In reality, the Third Iraq War, now extended into Syria, is merely in its very early stages.

miguel de Portugal comments: The news "speak for themselves" - we have nothing to add.

San Diego judge tentatively rejects bid for license plate records. (1)

San Diego Superior Court judge has tentatively turned down a request by the founder of the MP3 Internet music site for information about his license plates gathered through high-tech scanning.

Judge Katherine Bacal tentatively ruled this week that the records, retained by the San Diego Assn. of Governments on behalf of local law enforcement agencies, are exempt from the state's Public Records Act. A final ruling is expected next week.

"If I'm not being investigated for a crime, there shouldn't be a secret police file on me," Robertson told the Associated Press.

But the government association, at the request of law enforcement agencies, fought the request in court.

"We saw these as records of investigations used by law enforcement and thus exempt from the Public Records Act," said Gary Gallegos, executive director of SANDAG.

miguel de Portugal comments: We can demand records from the FBI, CIA, NSA, and get them, but not from law enforcement entities? This does not add up!

Ukraine's Neglected and Battered Army Inspires Citizens to Pitch In. (1)

Well-wishers mill around the entrances of the two main hospitals in this city in east-central Ukraine - men who greet friends with hugs and backslaps or share a cigarette, women who arrive to visit the wounded, sorting food parcels and pouring cups of sweet tea.

Inside the two hospitals, one civilian-run and one military, the medical staffs are busy treating dozens of wounded Ukrainian soldiers, casualties of the six-month war with Russian-backed separatist rebels in the restive provinces to the east. As those casualties have mounted, citizens and support groups for wounded soldiers and their families have begun to rally behind their long-neglected, resource-starved army in a rush of patriotic feeling.
“We don’t have an army,” said Andrei Karnysh, a veteran of the border guard and the chairman of a regional support group, who was visiting the wounded in the military hospital. “These boys were sent on buses, with rifles and just 30 bullets each,” Mr. Karnysh said. “No body armor, nothing.”

Soldiers and veterans interviewed say the armed forces are understaffed, undertrained and underequipped as they confront a much bigger and stronger opponent: not the separatist rebels, but the Russian forces behind them, with their superior firepower. The Kremlin denies taking any role in the fighting, but almost every soldier interviewed here spoke of direct encounters with Russian troops.

“They were shooting at us like they were on a firing range,” said Viktor, a reservist with his arm in a sling.

Another soldier, who said he had just returned after four months in the Donetsk region, complained that “there are no supplies in the army.” “There were no good flak jackets, weapons or equipment,” the soldier continued. “We did not see the American supplies that have been given, or medical supplies. It was difficult to get medicine.”

Mr. Karnysh said that in the 23 years since independence, successive Ukrainian leaders had let the armed forces decline and even sold off some of their equipment. Budgets became so tight that he and his friends collected contributions to pay for serving paratroopers to make one jump during training.

“We are civilians, and we are gathering money so the army can shoot,” he said.

miguel de Portugal comments: The above New York Times report was confirmed to us by Mr. Z.M., our Ukrainian collaborator.

That is a confirmation of how much the West talks and how little it does. Meetings, conferences, dinners, photo-op's but very little real assistance for those whose life is on the line for being in alliance with the West.

Every day that goes by the saying "Talk is cheap" gains a greater dimension. Now, that ISIL has become the "darling" of the media and the politicians, we probably would not hear about Ukraine even if Putin rode into Kiev on a Russian tank!

Your medical record is worth more to hackers than your credit card. (1)

Your medical information is worth 10 times more than your credit card number on the black market.

Last month, the FBI warned healthcare providers to guard against cyber attacks after one of the largest U.S. hospital operators, Community Health Systems Inc, said Chinese hackers had broken into its computer network and stolen the personal information of 4.5 million patients.

Security experts say cyber criminals are increasingly targeting the $3 trillion U.S. healthcare industry, which has many companies still reliant on aging computer systems that do not use the latest security features.

"As attackers discover new methods to make money, the healthcare industry is becoming a much riper target because of the ability to sell large batches of personal data for profit," said Dave Kennedy, an expert on healthcare security and CEO of TrustedSEC LLC.

"Hospitals have low security, so it's relatively easy for these hackers to get a large amount of personal data for medical fraud."

ISIS/ISIL is trying to get control of the land promised to the Arabs if they assisted, by siding with British forces, against the Ottoman Empire.

Sykes -Pecot negated the promised made to the Arabs.

Sykes-Picot Agreement From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Consequences of the agreement. (1)

The agreement is seen by many as a turning point in Western-Arab relations. It negated the promises made to Arabs through Colonel T. E. Lawrence for a national Arab homeland in the area of Greater Syria, in exchange for their siding with British forces against the Ottoman Empire.

The agreement's principal terms were reaffirmed by the inter-Allied San Remo Conference of 19–26 April 1920 and the ratification of the resulting League of Nations mandates by the Council of the League of Nations on 24 July 1922.

The Islamic State (ISIS) claims one of the goals of its insurgency is to reverse the effects of the Sykes–Picot Agreement. "This is not the first border we will break, we will break other borders," a jihadist from the ISIS warned in the video called End of Sykes-Picot. Islamic State's leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a July 2014 speech at the Great Mosque of al-Nuri in Mosul vowed that "this blessed advance will not stop until we hit the last nail in the coffin of the Sykes-Picot conspiracy".

The Franco-German geographer Christophe Neff wrote that the geopolitical architecture founded by the Sykes–Picot Agreement has disappeared in July 2014 and with it the relative protection of religious and ethnic minorities in the Middle East. He claims furthermore that Islamic State has in some way restructured the geopolitical structure of the Middle East in summer 2014, particularly in Syria and Iraq. The former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin has presented a similar geopolitical analysis in an editiorial contribution for the French newspaper Le Monde.

Although it does not justify the atrocities committed by ISIS/ISIL, it does shed light on the background of the deep seated hate for the West by certain Arab factions; most specially by those that do not benefit from selling its oil to the West.

This is another example as to why the saying "man does not learn from history" is mostly untrue; a saying which I confess espousing many years ago. How can man learn from history if the official version of history - political, religious and archeological - is mostly fiction?

Just look a the true History of Creation and the lies the Evolutionists and Creationists promote just to gain followers and sell their "wares".

Thank you, PD, for bringing this to our attention.

The other day when I was sending out information on Fatima I realized that....
Mary appeared over  "a small holm oak tree" on May 13, 1917, and thereafter, in Fatima.

Russia named their latest tactical strategic nuclear missiles "Oak". Those are the ones which have been deployed in Cuba since 2012. (1)

It certainly brings to mind Mary's warning through Fatima about Russia spreading its errors and the annihilation of nations and what you wrote back in 2006 regarding a nuclear attack on the U.S. originating from Cuba.

As we have said many times, and proven through the World Wars I and II dates "coincidences", God will use any channel available to call to the attention of His children what they should be aware of.

Again, thank you for sharing this "coincidence" with our readers.

Phoning 'home': what your mobile may be giving away without your knowledge. (1)

When popular Chinese handset maker Xiaomi Inc admitted that its devices were sending users' personal information back to a server in China, it prompted howls of protest and an investigation by Taiwan's government.

The affair has also drawn attention to just how little we know about what happens between our smartphone and the outside world. In short: it might be in your  pocket, but you don't call the shots.

As long as a device is switched on, it could be communicating with at least three different masters: the company that built it, the telephone company it connects to, and the developers of any third party applications you installed on the device - or were pre-installed before you bought it.
All these companies could have programed the device to send data 'back home' to them over a wireless or cellular network - with or without the user's knowledge or consent. In Xiaomi's case, as soon as a user booted up their device it started sending personal data 'back home'.

miguel de Portugal comments: Forewarned is forearmed. (2)

It would be wise to assume that when one is using a smart phone, or similar device, there is no privacy at all and, on top of that, those who may be "eavesdropping" could present a financial or even a physical threat. As we have said before - we are not concerned about NSA monitoring phone lines, e-mail, etc. Our concern should be those "everyone elses" who should not be doing it but are.

Of course we "use the same prescription that we prescribe". Our cell phone does not even have a camera and cannot take any Apps, and still, we are fully aware that our privacy can still be violated.... but not as much as with a smart phone and similar devices.

Obama: U.S. intelligence underestimated militants in Syria. (1)

U.S. intelligence agencies underestimated Islamic State activity inside Syria, which has become "ground zero" for jihadists worldwide, President Barack Obama said in a CBS television interview broadcast on Sunday.

Conversely, the United States overestimated the ability of the Iraqi army to fight the militant groups, Obama said in a "60 Minutes" interview taped on Friday, days after the U.S. president made his case at the United Nations for action.

Citing earlier comments by James Clapper, director of national intelligence, Obama acknowledged that U.S. intelligence underestimated what had been taking place in Syria.

miguel de Portugal comments: Nothing new here, and that is our concern.

The Soviets pulled the same wool over the U.S.'s eyes with the Castro regime just to mention a very obvious one. What makes it even worse is the enormous budget that we assign to Intelligence and we cannot even get the most elemental bits of information.

Amazing; simply amazing!

Researcher Says CDC ‘Chose to Cover Up’ Data Linking Autism With Vaccines. (1)

•A study published earlier this month re-analyzing data put out by the CDC in 2004, claims to have found a statistically significant association between autism and the age at which the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine is given to infant African-American boys.
•A so-called “whistleblower” alleged that the CDC covered up this data and chose to focus the 2004 study on other findings, ignoring this one.

•Since this more recent study claiming to associate an increased risk of autism after vaccination, more information about the study author, the whistleblower and the CDC’s original intent has come to light.

•This more recent study was also removed from the journal, which cited ”serious concerns about the validity of its conclusions.”

•Others criticized the study and the allegations of a CDC cover-up as well.

miguel de Portugal comments: "Only in God we trust and everyone else must pay in cash" - as the saying goes.

Without looking for them we keep coming across "scientific" studies published in "reputable" journals that contradict each other, news report by "reputable" media sources which we know for a fact that are wrong, etc., etc.

As we have said a number of times - everyone should make a serious effort to erect a nice and comfortable home for the Holy Spirit of God in our hearts because the level of published and broadcast deception have reached unthinkable levels. Only God can help us navigate safely.

Pediatricians urge IUDs or implants for teen girls. (1)

Teen girls who have sex should use IUDs or hormonal implants - long-acting birth control methods that are effective, safe and easy to use, the nation's most influential pediatricians' group recommends.

In an updated policy, the American Academy of Pediatrics says condoms also should be used every time teens have sex, to provide protection against sexually transmitted diseases that other forms of birth control don't provide, and to boost chances of preventing pregnancy.

Condoms alone are the most common birth control choice among teens, but with typical use they're among the least effective methods at preventing pregnancy. Both long-acting methods are nearly 100 percent effective, with lower failure rates than birth control pills, patches and injections, the academy says.

Teens have to remember to use pills and condoms consistently. By contrast, IUDs typically work for three to 10 years after insertion, while implants typically last three years.

The new guidance was published Monday in Pediatrics. It echoes 2012 recommendations from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

miguel de Portugal comments: Promiscuous sex has been institutionalized, yet, people still wonder why God allowed (not caused, but allowed) the AIDS plague.

Abortion law defeat celebrated in Spain by Women's parades. (1)

Women in Spain have been marching this Sunday to celebrate the government's defeat last week in trying to introduce stricter anti-abortion legislation. The bill was thrown out and the justice minister piloting it resigned as government policy collapsed in disarray faced with a storm of opposition.

"We are here because demonstrations achieve triumphs. Women's mobilization has overthrown this law, and social mobilization and pressure will force the constitutional court to maintain womens' rights.," said the United Left in Madrids Eddy Sanchez.

Barcelona also saw large demonstrations which were repeated in many towns across the country. People were also out in force in Seville, and the demands were the same everywhere; do more to promote women’s rights, and end the constitutional challenge to the current abortion laws.

Government policy has been under fire from the medical profession as well as being potentially unsafe and ineffective.

miguel de Portugal comments: An Abortion Pride parade?

As we have said before, properly formed souls do not need laws to prevent abortions because it will never be an option for them, but the un Evangelized masses, which constitute the bulk of the "Christian" nations, need some sort of guidelines to help them carefully think about what they are about to do.

Once the child is killed, regrets will nor bring him/her back.

They will just have to wait until they cross the veil for the shock of their lives when they come face to face with their own child, the child whose life was ended with their consent. Not a pretty picture, as the saying goes.

Russia's top 100 lies about Ukraine. (1)

Russia's propaganda machine shows no signs of slowing down. To the contrary, it seems to have reached a new hysterical level of blatant disinformation, since Russian and pro-Russian terrorists in Ukraine are rapidly losing ground.

To attract reluctant “volunteers” into the trap of a misguided war machine, Russia wages twisted information war through its mainstream media, useful fools in the West and a legion of paid trolls.

Russian disinformation locomotive twists the facts and invents entirely false stories, accompanied by deceptive imagery. When exposed, it attacks the debunkers, questioning their motives.

Russia's mainstream media doesn't operate according to the journalistic standards of the civilized world. It often uses social media as their sole sources for breaking news stories. Most of the time, Russian publications fail to retract falsified or entirely made up stories, even after they have been thoroughly debunked. Kremlin trolls operate the same way, intentionally spreading falsehoods to infect public opinion, propagate war-mongering and hatred.

It’s important to recognize the information war in all of its ugly manifestations.

miguel de Portugal comments: Although the examples are Ukraine-related, the their techniques applies worldwide.

The Soviets have only one "play book" which Juan Vivés (2) clearly described, and which the Western Intellience Services still seem to be unable to grasp.
