Previous Month Next Month Archive

The purpose of Points to Ponder About was to stimulate thinking that would draw the disoriented Faithful back to God and away from the hypocritical duplicity of some religious institutions which are destroying the little faith left on earth. (For a more detailed explanation, see Points to Ponder About - Purpose). What used to be posted in this section has been integrated in For Your Information and Reference.

Note: This 'Point to Ponder About' section was prepared in the years 2005-2009. Some linked documents external to this domain may have been removed from the Net, or moved to different locations, since then.

Do you ever wonder.... who baptized John the Baptist?  Jesus Himself did.  Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the infant leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.

However, John the Baptist was not immaculately conceived as many "experts" and "pseudo theologians" have claimed. Mary is the only human being who has ever been conceived without the original sin for She was to hold within Herself, and feed from Her own flesh, Perfection-In-The-Flesh:  Jesus Christ.

Do you ever wonder.... why such fuss has been made over Silas (the monk at The DaVinci Code)?  After all, we would be less concerned about running into a myth-come-to-life Silas in a dark alley than running into the very real Hansen-Freeh combo in a lighted hallway!

Do you ever wonder.... why Judas had to lead the Temple people to Gethsemane and then kiss Jesus to identify Him to His  enemies?

Luke 22: 47 As he was yet speaking, behold a multitude; and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near to Jesus, for to kiss him. 48 And Jesus said to him: Judas, dost thou betray the Son of man with a kiss?

Because Jesus' face was not well known amongst them and the "pious set" of the time. All they thought they needed to know was Caiphas face and that of his entourage.
