In case anyone thought....

.....that there were going to be real changes in the Roman Catholic Church Administration, think again!
[highlights by contributor]

Cardinal Keith O’Brien will face no further action from the Vatican after his admission of having sexual relations with four priests and a seminarian.

It emerged yesterday that there is no longer an active investigation into his behaviour and that Rome views the matter as closed.

The Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh was forced to step down by Pope Benedict XVI in February after he admitted that his conduct had “fallen below the standards expected of me as a priest, an archbishop and a cardinal”. It has also been reported that the churchman will not be asked by the Vatican to give up his status as a cardinal, a decision that is likely to anger many who have followed his downfall over the past few months.

A source close to the Curia, the Vatican’s civil service, was reported as saying: “When an investigation takes place, people expect some kind of public result of the investigation, but there is just no way there is going to be some kind of public examination and a published report on this matter. The Church doesn’t work that way.”

Another said that the Vatican had not launched any official investigation and that this might happen only if any further allegations are made against Cardinal O’Brien. (1)

In case you were wondering.....

....who is the active communication link between Maledict and Francis..... No need to wonder anymore. It was obviously preplanned just like Francis' election was.
[our highlights]

Benedict XVI returns to the Vatican. He left the Holy See on 28 February, the last day of his pontificate, which ended officially on the evening of that same day, following his resignation. Unless there is last minute change of plan, the Pope Emeritus is expected to return to the Vatican on 1 May. The former cloistered monastery where the former Pope will be living, is now ready for him to move in. The monastery is a four story building, with communal areas and twelve monastic cells, a new wing measuring approximately 450 metres squared, a chapel, the cloistered nuns’ choir, a library, a gallery, an evergreen hedge, a heavy gate that separates the cloistered area from the other parts of the monastery and a large garden where peppers, tomatoes, courgettes, cabbages, lemons and oranges are grown.

Benedict XVI will be living with the four members of the “Memores Domini” association and his personal secretary, Georg Gänswein, Prefect of the Papal Household. Others who are allowed to stay in the monastery are the Pope Emeritus’ brother and the German deacon who joined the small former “papal family” and assists Ratzinger when Fr. Georg is busy in the Apostolic Palace.

The move will make Mgr. Gänswein’s life much easier as, up until now, he has had to go back and forth from Castel Gandolfo to the Vatican every day. It will also make it easier for Francis to visit his predecessor.

Ratzinger’s frailty was apparent during Pope Francis’ visit to the Pope Emeritus just a few days after his election. But Vatican spokesman, Fr. Federico Lombardi, who has confirmed the former Pope’s imminent return to the Vatican, had denied that Benedict XVI was suffering from any major illness. (2)

If anyone, who does not know us well enough,....

....thinks that we enjoy keeping track and publishing information as that published above, know that you are mistaken.

We only do so as part of our function. The level of brainwashing of most Catholic is such that they need such reminders lest they have a relapse from having seen the True Light - also known as: The Truth! - about the times that we are living thorugh.

We rather spend more time in sharing theological and mystical lights.... but it is not miguel de Portugal whom we strive to serve.

We have been made aware of the homily  Francis delivered at the Mass he officiated on the Feast Day of St. George (1). The key points follow:
[our highlights]

"It is not possible to find Jesus outside the Church": this was Pope Francis' message as he marked his name day, the Feast of St. George, this Tuesday celebrating Mass in the Pauline Chapel with the Cardinals present in Rome.

And so the Church was a Mother, the Mother of more children, of many children. It became more and more of a Mother. A Mother who gives us the faith, a Mother who gives us an identity. But the Christian identity is not an identity card: Christian identity is belonging to the Church, because all of these belonged to the Church, the Mother Church. Because it is not possible to find Jesus outside the Church. The great Paul VI said: "Wanting to live with Jesus without the Church, following Jesus outside of the Church, loving Jesus without the Church is an absurd dichotomy." And the Mother Church that gives us Jesus gives us our identity that is not only a seal, it is a belonging. Identity means belonging. This belonging to the Church is beautiful.

And let us think of the consolation that Barnabas felt, which is "the sweet and comforting joy of evangelizing." And let us ask the Lord for this "parresia", this apostolic fervor that impels us to move forward, as brothers, all of us forward! Forward, bringing the name of Jesus in the bosom of Holy Mother Church, and, as St. Ignatius said, "hierarchical and Catholic." So be it.

First of all I must thank God for having Francis made our work easier.

As we clearly explained thirteen years ago (2), even the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, under Ratizinger's watch, had to back down from such heretical claim in a special insert dated September 6, 2000, in the L'Osservatore Romano (3). Not even Ratzinger could get away with claiming that there was no Salvation outside the Roman Catholic Church.

Now, Bergoglio, not only resurrects such claim but continues to peddle the idea that the Church is our Mother - a theological error and a mystical scandal - which we have exposed elsewhere.

The Church - the Mystical Body of Christ -  is made up of each and every soul seeking Christ; the clergy and Hierarchy are the Administrators; and Mary - by an act of the same Paul VI he quotes - is the Mother of the Church, the Mystical Body of Christ - that is, our Mother.

Hasn't the poor man realized that all that "inter religious dialogue" he is so fond of is sheer foolishness if "they" are already lost since they, according to Bergoglio's home spun theology, are outside the only vehicle of Salvation?

It seems that now Bergoglio is pandering to the traditionalists whose elitist spirit demand to be the only members of the elite. Never mind the fact that we are quite confident that most of them are not counted amongst the Elect (4).

We are sure that in a homily directed to the Ecumenical groups he will then promote inter religious dialogue. It seems that Cafeteria Catholicism continues to reign supreme and most poor disoriented and un Evangelized Catholics continue to feed from the "food" served at such Cafeteria.

If God may Will it, and your are able to, can you please explain Jesus' meaning in the following verses?

For as lightning cometh out of the east, and appeareth even into the west: so shall the coming of the Son of man be. Wheresoever the body shall be, there shall the eagles also be gathered together. [Matthew 24: 27-28]
Two women shall be grinding together: the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left: two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. They answering, say to him: Where, Lord? Who said to them: Wheresoever the body shall be, thither will the eagles also be gathered together.  [Luke 17: 35-37]

First of all, note that the birds should be vultures and not eagles With that clarified......

What He is telling us is that: Just as the vultures circling an area indicate that there is cadaver on the ground, when the signs that He has clearly indicated to us are manifested (not necessarily all at one time), the time for His Return is at hand.

This, also means that collateral indications/signs, as you had, are a personal reminder of His Words and the meaning described above.

Thank you for asking, thus, giving Him the opportunity to clarify such statement for all of us.

Different religious orders and ecclesiastical states - like Cardinals (1) - require specific vows/oaths to be taken in order to become part of "the group". The breaking of these vows are usually associated with some serious calamity for the individual in question.

It is the Will of God that we inform all who need to know that:

When a vow taken, and adhered to, allows any activity that may be harmful to the soul of any of God's children - regardless of faith professed - the individual adhering to said vow becomes a collaborator of the sins committed, and will be responsible, before the Throne of God, for all the harm his/her silence allowed on souls just as the perpetrator of the crime is.

There shall be no attenuation of such responsibility from the moment this text is uploaded into our servers, thus, becoming available to all of humanity.

(1) I [name and surname], Cardinal of the Holy Roman Church, promise and swear to be faithful henceforth and forever, while I live, to Christ and his Gospel, being constantly obedient to the Holy Roman Apostolic Church, to Blessed Peter in the person of the Supreme Pontiff [name of Pope], and of his canonically elected Successors; to maintain communion with the Catholic Church always, in word and deed; not to reveal to any one what is confided to me in secret, nor to divulge what may bring harm or dishonor to Holy Church; to carry out with great diligence and faithfulness those tasks to which I am called by my service to the Church, in accord with the norms of the law. So help me Almighty God.

From miguel de Portugal

To assist the faithful in understanding the above statement: There shall be no attenuation of such responsibility from the moment this text is uploaded into our servers, thus, becoming available to all of humanity,  let us shed some light on it.

We have been contacting the Hierarchy on a global scale - the Vatican included - since 1991. Mailings to every Bishop in the US and every Cardinal worldwide was a normal procedure for us.

That phase of our work took place until God led us to establish an Internet presence in 1998.

Since 1991 they have had ample opportunity to learn the position that miguel de Portugal occupies and where the information is globally available for all of them to review.

The extent that they may acknowledge and act upon what we publish in the Name of God is not of our concern. We have done our part. That is all God wanted me to do, in addition to pray that those who need to be aware of said information find their way to it.

On the News Commentary dated April 17th we wrote:

The only comment that we have at this time (regarding the Boston bombing) is that - in our opinion (just an educated opinion) -  it was a home made job by US local gun fanatics trying to neutralize any law that may be in the making and that would limit gun ownership in the US.

We need to clarify that statement in case someone came to the wrong conclusion:

Regarding the reference to "gun fanatics" - Just like the term "religious fanatics" does not imply that all religious individuals (even the very devout ones)  are fanatics, the term "gun fanatics" does not imply that all law abiding gun owners, hunters and marksmen are fanatics either. We regret if someone misunderstood such statement as an all encompassing generalization.

I looked up the (John Bosco's) Salesians on the Bishop Accountability site.  I got many, many hits, including this one (1) from which I quote:
[The M+G+R Foundation highlights]

The Salesians of San Francisco, who were previously disgraced by holding the record for accused, convicted and sued priests in the Bay Area and northern state, have been amping up the the presence of their infamous clan once again.

The "troubled order" as writer Ron Russel described the notorious Salesian province of San Francisco in the San Francisco Weekly in October of 2006 , were entangled in a web of accusations, shuffling, coverups and denial; resulting from decades of ping-ponging sex abusers back and forth from churches, camps, schools and retreats.

A record number of Salesian priests names appeared on the molestation radar, and the Salesian provincials and damage control personnel scrambled to mitigate and dissolve the negative press and lawsuits. But what they could not dissolve what was the truth.

There are at least 23 accused local Salesian sex abusers named; and they are either admitted, convicted, sued, or named for various sex crimes against children.

Some of the named sex offenders are: Fr. Larry Lorenzoni, Fr. Richard Presenti, Fr. Bernard Dabenne, Fr. Steve Whelan, Bro. Sal Billante, Bro. Jesse Dominguez, Fr. Jim Miani, Fr. Harold Danielson, Bro. Mark Epperson, Fr. Mario Blanco, Bro. Anthony Juarez, Bro. Ernie Martinez, Fr. Emanual Palayo, Fr. Juan Sanchez, Bro. John Verhart, Fr. Fleming, Fr. Al Mengon, Bro. John Vas, Bro. Ralph Murguia, Bro. Dan Pacheco, Fr. Gerald Wurtz, Mr. Sam Vitone, and Mr. Rick Bonds.

In 2006, the Salesians made headlines by placing 5 out of 6 priests who were accused or convicted on their authoritative staff at the S.F. Franklin Street Provincial headquarters, another staggering and embarrassing record.

How far they have fallen from the time of St. Bosco!

Right you are! One of the few instances that we know about St. John Bosco bilocating was when the superior of one of his houses had not gotten rid of a sex abuser in their midst. Bosco bilocated to tell the superior - in person - to get rid of him immediately. Needless to say, the shocked superior did - immediately!

Thank you for the reference, we will make a permanent document out of this information.

On the April 20th Private FYI&R post, while discussing the importance of praying for our enemies and evil doers, we stated:

Why is it so important to love, pray for and do good to our enemies? Believe it or not, it is very simple.

They are children of God; God loves them too; God needs people to pray for them so that they turn around from their evil ways, something that only another human can do in accordance to Divine design.

So, if we do not, evil will multiply like a plague and essentially destroy mankind.... just like it is happening now.

The secret to the "simplicity of it all" that we speak about is: The love that one may have for God.

The more you love someone, the more their sorrow affects you. For example: Most emotionally healthy parents would rather suffer anything themselves than to have their offspring suffer it.

Likewise, the more one loves God, the greater one is affected by the sorrow humanity causes Him. Then, it logically follows that anything that one can do to reduce His sorrow, will be done to the extent one loves God.

No one causes God, and our beloved Heavenly Mother, more sorrow than the evil doers in this world. Thus, our prayers on their behalf - for their conversion - brings great Joy to God and our Heavenly Mother.

Once an individual makes this mystical theology part of their fundamental faith, the easier it will be to pray for "your enemies and evil doers".

You see how simple it really is?

From (Mrs.) LM @ US

In reference to your Private FYI&R posting of April 13th about "How to Deal with our enemies" - it certainly came at a interesting time. I am sure you are aware of the bombing that occurred in Boston on April 15.
This (pray for our enemies) is a hard lesson to learn, under these circumstances, but learn it, we must. These are the times our faith is put to the test.

We keep getting these lessons though, since 9/11. Maybe we have always had these type of opportunities, but now with information fying to and fro, so quickly, from all angles, it is literally "in our faces".

Unfortunately, I don't think I will hear anyone, except you, reminding us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.
Thank you for the reminder.

A. Thank you for your feedback and the opportunity that it gives us to discuss this matter further.

The crux of Christianity - the Rock it was founded upon, Christ (1) - is precisely about:

Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you: [Matthew 5:44]

Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you. [Luke 6:27]

But love ye your enemies: do good, and lend, hoping for nothing thereby: and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the sons of the Highest; for he is kind to the unthankful, and to the evil. [Luke 6:35]

Of which He gave a very personal example when He said...

Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. [Luke 23:34]

....while suspended by nails from a cross.

If Christians had been taught, and then obeyed this fundamental teaching, applied Christianity would not have failed. Oh, yes... post Constantine (2) applied Christianity, with some notable exceptions (3),  is a complete failure, even though it was a success up to its acquisition by Constantine.

What has Mary been trying to do since the early 19th century, shuttling between Heaven an Earth? Trying to patch up the abysmal failure of the "shepherds" entrusted to teach the Faithful how to apply the Good News.

Since we have not done it, and humanity is very close to self destruction, God will have to intervene by necessity.

It is really that simple!.... but not profitable for the "shepherds" who need that human misery to thrive.

(1) The true foundation of Christianity
(2) Constantinian "Christianity"
(3) With the notable exceptions of which D. John Bosco is a shining example. He and a few others applied Christianity as Jesus intended and the results were magnificent!

In the following two part test the reader will see why "A Known or Illustrious Face" (by world standards) really does not matter in the long run - and the "long run" is what really matters..

Although the following is referred to as Charles Schulz Philosophy, Mr. Schulz had nothing to do with it. (1)
 First Part

You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just ponder on them.  Just read the e-mail straight through, and you'll get the point.
     1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
     2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
     3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.
4  Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
     5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
     6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
How did you do? We are sure that the answer is: "Not well at all".
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.  These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields.
But the applause dies...  Awards tarnish...   Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
 Second Part
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
     1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
     2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
     3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
     4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
     5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Much easier to respond, wasn't it? We are sure that most surpassed the number of names asked for.
The lesson
The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money... or the most awards.
They simply are the ones who care the most. Two perfect examples immediately come to mind: D. John Bosco (2) and D. Jean-Baptiste-Marie Vianney (3)

Now think about those prelates that spend decades accumulating degrees and honorary titles. Why do they do it? Because they have nothing else to offer besides the world credentials

Many of you have heard....

That in many places of the New Testament one finds the erroneous announcement or clear implication that the Second Coming of Christ was imminent. That is indeed true in some of the Letters/Epistles on the New Testament, but not in the Four Gospels.

After a careful review of the Four Gospels what we find is that some statements have been misunderstood since Jesus was speaking at the time about (1) His Resurrection and Ascension; or (2) The time associated with the destruction of the Temple and most of Jerusalem; or (3) Events that were to happen soon as the Transfiguration; or (4) The term "this generation" was used at times referring to the generation He was living at while at others He was referring to the generation at the End of These Times; or, last but not least, a mistranslation or copyist error.

The fact that the End of These Times could not have been announced, as imminent, by Jesus is further confirmed by the following verse from the Gospel according to Mark, chapter 13: 29-32:

So you also when you shall see these things come to pass, know ye that it is very nigh, even at the doors. Amen I say to you, that this generation shall not pass, until all these things be done. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass away. But of that day or hour no man knoweth, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but (but only by) the Father.

Hopefully we should be able to consider this case closed.

The centuries old debate regarding the Holy Scriptures and their source, specifically, if they are (a) the intellectual product of men; or (b) the result of  men acting under Divine inspiration, has caused great concerns and has produced many errors.

I believed that they were indeed Divinely inspired, but now, I know.

Several days ago, while in prayerful meditation, I thought that it might be a good idea to merge all four Gospels into one, thus eliminating what seem to be inconsistencies in the different renditions of the same event. The project was being given serious consideration.

Less that 24 hours later - out of the proverbial blue, aka God - the Word came: Not to do it.

Reason given: Such different renditions of similar events have a Divine purpose. Much more will be revealed, to those who take the time to prayerfully read the Bible, about a particular event when it is intellectually approached via the different rendtions.

Amazing! Simply, amazing!

Do you know.... who Marcellinus was?

He was more than just another Pope and Martyr. He should be honored as the Patron Saint of the Remnant and should be a reminder to all that the Mercy of God has no limits when the sorrow and contrition are real.

Shed a tear or two as you become acquainted with St. Marcellinus, Pope and Martyr. May his example be a consolation to the true children of God.

It is the Will of God that we cover two key points regarding Christianity, points which seem to elude most causing confusion and distrust in the Holy Scriptures and the Catholic Faith.

1. The evils of Idolatry

It is quite clear what God instructed Moses about images (in Exodus 20:4):

Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth.

But then, later on, God turns around and tells Moses (in Numbers 21:8-9):

Make a brazen serpent, and set it up for a sign: whosoever being struck shall look on it, shall live. Moses therefore made a brazen serpent, and set it up for a sign: which when they that were bitten looked upon, they were healed.

What gives? God did not forget what He originally commanded. Could it be a copyist error?

It is none of the above. The answer appears in Exodus 20:5:

Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them: ("them" being what He listed in Exodus 20:4 above).

The problem does not lie in the "graven thing, nor the likeness of any thing"; the problem lies in the fact that most humans sooner or later end up "adoring them and serving them". That is exactly what most Catholics do - with Spain, and the former Spanish colonies in the Americas, at the head of the list.

Therefore, Catholicism cannot be branded as an idolatrous religion. Improperly practiced Catholicism, under the guidance of certain profit minded clergy and hierarchy, has become, in many areas of the world, an idolatrous faith; a practice obviously rejected by God.

We can certainly have as many images and likeness of Mary, Jesus and our favorite saints as reminders, and as focal points for prayer. The moment they become the object of our prayer - whether we are aware of it or not - we are practicing idolatry.

Do you now understand why the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is not idolatry - regardless of what even some Catholics claim? A Consecrated Host - the Eucharistc Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ - is not "a graven thing, nor the likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth.", yet it is truly  the physical manifestation of the Body, Blood and Divinity of Our Saviour.

Let's face it, brethren - God "was not born yesterday", as the saying goes, and is perfectly coherent in all of His teachings.

Now, man (without God in his soul)...., well, that is a completely different story!

2. How to deal with "our enemies".

It is quite clear - and timeless - what Jesus taught regarding our enemies:

But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you: [Matthew 5:44]

But I say to you that hear: Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you. [Luke 6:27]

As if those instructions were not clear enough, He showed us that He meant it at a very difficult time in His life:

And when they were come to the place which is called Calvary, they crucified him there; and the robbers, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. And Jesus said: Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. [Luke 23: 33-34]

Now then, who were those Christians - Catholic and Protestants alike - serving when, for centuries upon centuries, killed anyone who they considered their enemies or just disagreed on how to practice their faith? Allow us to spell it out for you: They were serving satan.

Whether Popes, Kings, or any Protestant Leader - they were at the service of satan.

Some pathetic apologists dare to justify such blasphemous lives with: "Oh, those were other times!"  Really?

Divine Law is timeless. The crystal clear teachings of Jesus Christ are as applicable when He delivered them in Person as the are today and will be Eternally.

Brethren, the above theo-logic will be thrown in the face of anyone trying to justify his/her behavior at the time of Judgment. Humanity can count on that!

On another matter....

Because of the many transgressions, abuses, etc. etc. the Christian clergy and hierarchy are rightfully accused of, the general impression is that they are the only "evil ones", and that the other faiths have a holy leadership.

To our comment of "They are beginning to get as bad as the Vatican boys....", made to a long time personal friend, who is a practicing Jew and who has lived, with her family, in New York City for over 50 years, in reference to the following news report:

France's Grand Rabbi, the leader of the country's Jewish community, has resigned. Gilles Bernheim left his post with immediate effect after admitting to plagiarism and lying about an academic status on his CV.

She responded:

I think at times they've surpassed the Vatican boys.  No matter where the city Mayors move the Red District zones in and around NY, you'll often see some "scholars" there, and let's not forget that they also like to "fool around" with girls and/or boys……

I can tell you that while driving through some seedier neighborhoods, we spotted the "boys" right there, with their long coats, "peyes" and big hats trying to do their business.
And every few weeks or so, there's a scandal involving a Grand Rabbi (not so grand, after all!) trying to seduce some young girls who are their students and when they threaten to expose them, they panic and offer them money to be quiet.  Shameful!

Fair is fair - and we should not focus on just "one set of evil doers" - we must pray for all of them. It is our responsibility.

My neighbor is in the hospital again I was told. His wife came up to me when I had returned from an errand as I was starting from the truck to the door. She asked me to take two prescriptions to an area drugstore and asked that I have them filled for her.

She said to me "I have no money."

(so what does one do when confronted by someone in desperate need? - one who Our Lord has given an opportunity to perform a kindness for someone in His Name...)

As I was waiting for the pharmacy to fill the prescriptions I decided to pay for them from my pocket.

(whether they see this gesture of generosity as an opportunity to ask for money in the future - AS THEY HAVE DONE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS IN THE PAST - I decided that I will leave that to Our Lord)

The pharmacy associate brought out the completed prescriptions - as I said, I had decided to absorb the charges no matter the cost - and told me "that will be $9.25 (USD)". I happened to have the cash on hand just then so it became a null item.

When I delivered them to her on the receipt I had written "no charge, it is from our home to yours with love"

Now this was not written with any intention to reflect back upon myself but.... As I sat and composed a note to sum up the experiences and the emotions, a warm happy feeling of contented tears washed over me...

I thought of My Savior smiling down from the Cross looking down the centuries at one small act of kindness towards a neighbor and I imagined a tiny smile cross His Suffering Face and a tiny pause in the unrelenting Pain...

...and, I thought "An Eternity with Him can be won or lost on the tiny acts of kindness we share with our neighbors..." and I hope I earned a place by His Side from what happened to me yesterday morning in Time.

Striving to live like that - all of the time -  is what being a Christian is all about. It is not a "one shot deal"; it is a way of life.

Thank you for sharing with all.

Have you heard that....

Joseph A. Ratzinger and Pierre Teilhard de Chardin  seem to be 'birds of a feather' when their "thelogy" is examined?

[Pierre Teilhard de Chardin SJ ( May 1, 1881 – April 10, 1955) was a French philosopher and Jesuit priest who trained as a paleontologist and geologist and took part in the discovery of Peking Man and Piltdown Man.]

From (Mr.) LP @ US

I found the following quote in the preface of a Latin/English missal, originally issued in the 1950s.
[my highlights]

"Christ is the High Priest, but to perform the rites of this sacrifice, a lower order of priesthood is necessary to supply what Our Lord does not Himself perform. These ministers of the priesthood of Christ are the members of the Catholic hierarchy, and thus at one and the same time by Christ invisible, and by Christ visible, it is ordained that we shall pray to God in the person of the Pope, bishops, and priests. These priests are the official intermediaries between heaven and earth."

Source: p.VI of the preface in the "Saint Andrew Daily Missal," by Dom Gaspar Lefebvre, with a 1953 imprimatur.

(This is not the same person as Marcel Lefebvre, the traditionalist archbishop who went into schism in 1988.)

This looks like a claim that the Pope, bishops, and priests are,  in some sense, God.

And as for their role as mediators, whatever happened to 1 Timothy 2:5-6, which states that Christ is the one Mediator?
If this material represents pre Vatican II theology, no wonder the Church has long been off the rails.

Thank you for sharing your find. The moment the Roman Patriarchate went Imperial (1) , the Institution started going off the rails.

Do not take our word for it - take Jesus' words calling Francis of Assisi to repair His Church:

And the voice of the Lord spoke to him through the crucifix: "Francis, go and repair My house, which is falling into ruins."

This was in the first decade of the 13th century and the Church was already falling into ruins. Imagine its state by the time God moved H.H. John  XXIII to initiate the Second Vatican Council. (2)

We must not forget that this Council, coupled with the ongoing apparitions of Mary at Garabandal, was the last chance God was giving to the Church Administration to right all that was wrong with it.... since they had been quite effective at ignoring the frequent Marian visits since the early 19th century. (3)

Through those many apparitions God was trying to repair what already had turned into the house of satan. H.H. Paul VI was not just talking of his time when he spoke of the 'smoke of satan' in the Vatican. This was further confirmed (4) by the Vatican official who should know:

Father Gabriele Amorth, 85, who has been the Vatican's chief exorcist for 25 years and says he has dealt with 70,000 cases of demonic possession, said that the consequences of satanic infiltration included power struggles at the Vatican as well as "cardinals who do not believe in Jesus, and bishops who are linked to the Demon".

He added: "When one speaks of 'the smoke of Satan' [a phrase coined by Pope Paul VI in 1972] in the holy rooms, it is all true - including these latest stories of violence and paedophilia."

The last thing humanity should want is for the Roman Catholic Church to return to the point the "Traditionalists" dream about. Blessedly, God will not allow it. Man has had ample opportunities to "repair" the Church. Now it will be reduced to rubble (5) so that it may rise, just as Jesus did - Glorified.

What we need to return to - but will not be until its Resurrection - is the practice of the true Catholic Faith as God intended it to be (6) for modern man.

Our Lord, speaking to Sister Faustina Kowalska in 1938, asked that the Feast of Divine Mercy be instituted on the first Sunday after Easter Sunday. We read in her diary (Nos. 299-300):

"...I desire that the first Sunday after Easter be the Feast of Mercy. Ask of my faithful servant (Faustina's Confessor) that, on this day, he tell the whole world of My great mercy; that whoever approaches the Fount of Life on this day will be granted complete remission of sins and punishment. + Mankind will not have peace until it turns with trust to My Mercy."

Do you know..... the prophesied "Holy King", working with the prophesied "Holy Pope", could control the masses through miracles?

Now that the best possible candidate for the "Holy Pope" is in place as Francis, the Bishop of Rome, the efforts to select the "Holy King" (1) are in full swing.

It must be noted that the "Holy King" represents a "Holy Global Ruler" - it does not necessarily mean that he has to be a King.

Brethren, as the Denial Plague sweeps across humanity it will leave behind more corpses, literally, than all plagues which have swept the world combined.

Like a computer virus that disables a computer Anti Virus Protection Program, thus rendering the computer at the mercy of the virus, the first step in a Denial infection, which is a satanic attack, is to make the victim believe that he/she is not in denial. That is, the victim denies to itself that he/she is in denial, thus, rendering the victim at the mercy of satanic attacks.

We suggest that the visitor to our pages review "Denial and Its Grave Consequences In simple and easy to understand terms".

We cannot do more than to alert those who pass through our pages about this and other spiritual threats. It is up to the readers to act upon our alerts. It is also appropriate for us to highlight the fact that: once an individual has been alerted, if the alert is ignored little should be expected in the manner of Divine help.

We suggest a prayerful meditation of the following scriptural passages:

[46] The lord of that servant will come in the day that he hopeth not, and at the hour that he knoweth not, and shall separate him, and shall appoint him his portion with unbelievers. [47] And that servant who knew the will of his lord, and prepared not himself, and did not according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. [48] But he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And unto whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required: and to whom they have committed much, of him they will demand the more. [49] I am come to cast fire on the earth; and what will I, but that it be kindled? [50] And I have a baptism wherewith I am to be baptized: and how am I straitened until it be accomplished?

[51] Think ye, that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, no; but separation. [52] For there shall be from henceforth five in one house divided: three against two, and two against three. [53] The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against his father, the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother, the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. [Luke 12]

In closing, we wish to again remind, one and all, that once God delivered the "prescription" to avoid a "worse war" (than World War I) and the virulent spread of communism, He had done His part. Man disobeyed and 50 to 100 million deaths followed, without counting untold suffering from 1939 through today.

This is an action-inaction-consequences sequence that has repeated itself throughout history and will continue until the end of the Creation as we know it.

Therefore, no one should count on a reprieve that will never come. Do not be grouped with the five virgins who were caught without oil for their lamps. Let us keep our "oil" supplies on hand. [Matthew 25:1-13]

We would like to clarify our position regarding Francis, the Bishop of Rome, as best as I can since it is not easy to explain.

As we have said before and restate again:

Based on Cardinal Bergoglio's statements, which we have read (up to now), we could not have chosen a more (apparently) perfect individual to head, not only the Roman Catholic Church, but all of Christendom.

His professed position has no parallel in the history of the papacy - a call  for a "poor Church and a Church which serves the poor"  would have almost been classified as heresy by the Roman Catholic Church establishment of past centuries.

In here lies the great mystery, the incoherence (humanly speaking) of this election.

The above continues to be confirmed the more we read about what he has said before as Cardinal Bergoglio and after as Francis, Bishop of Rome.

We have also said that he is pushing the proverbial envelope on acts of public humility to the point of causing scandal, considering the perceived position that he occupies and given the abysmal under Evangelization of most Catholics.

We have also said that he would fit the Holy Pope profile better than if we had tried to conceive one.

Nonetheless - this man is not a conscious cog on any conspiracy. The world "gets" what he really "is and believes" as a human being. As his sister recently commented after watching his behavior after his election: Thank God Francis still is Jorge.

However, that he is a real key player for the last Act of the End of These Times - is a fact, even though he will only see it just before or right after crossing the veil.

Any criticism that I may have regarding his performance - as the pushing the proverbial envelope on acts of public humility - is from the point of view of a very well informed and Evangelized man who expects the world and the Church to continue on for centuries and not from the perspective of what God created me for.

From that perspective we see a completely different picture and discuss it accordingly. As you have heard us say often - the discharge of my function is like being involved in a three dimensional chess game with a fourth dimension - time. We hope that we do not confuse our readers too much with what we publish, views which come forth from two completely different perspectives. If you are ever confused, ask. If God allows us the time, we will try to clarify it in this page.

I sincerely wish I could do better, but that is up to Him, Whose door I knock several times every day asking Him to help me serve Him better.

If you wonder which are the....

It seems that the Bishop of Rome (1), Francis, is confused about several issues. His carefully staged "spontaneous" behavior, although makes great copy for the "Holy Pope" image, transgress a fundamental Divine directive: Woe to the world because of scandals. For it must needs be that scandals come: but nevertheless woe to that man by whom the scandal cometh. [Matthew 18:7]

The first issue he does not seem to get a grasp of is: humility

When an individual occupying the position the world think he occupies, blows his trumpet when he is doing what he must do, that is false humility and such behavior is not of Christ.

One young man .... asked why he had come to visit them. Francis responded that it was to "help me to be humble, as a bishop should be."

The gesture, he said, came "from my heart. Things from the heart don't have an explanation." (2)

A truly humble answer woud have been: "Why not? You are all children of God; a God Whom I strive to serve."

What next? Riding the metro in Rome.

He made a reputation for being a humble man for riding the metro in Buenos Aires and, frankly, that would be impressive if he had little else to do with his time. Therefore, when an individual - Archbishop or Cardinal - in charge of an area as Buenos Aires - rides public transporation, it is for show because his work and prayer agenda must be overflowing. I know that from very personal experience.

The second issue he has had confused for many years is: the washing of the feet on the Last Passover Meal (3).

The intent of such event is to recreate the scene that took place over 2,000 years ago and, unless someone can come up with solid proof that women were at the Last Passover Meal, the feet to be washed should be those of seminarians or of other priests and bishops - symbolizing the Apostles.

The kissing of the feet seems more of a promotion of the foot fetish disorder than a recreation of the example that Jesus gave us. The only example that we have in the New Testament regarding kissing feet is: And standing behind at his feet, she began to wash his feet, with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. [Luke 7:38]

The third issue has to do with including a Muslim in the staunchly Christian tradition of replicating the washing of the feet at the Last Passover Meal. Anyone who is familiar with us knows our very positive position regarding Islam (4) (5), however, most of the very unEvangelized Catholic world cannot digest that behavior without being scandalized.

As the crowning blow to Francis' display of staged humility at the detention center, we read (2): Francis had a simple message for the young inmates, whom he greeted one-by-one after the Mass, giving each an Easter egg.

An easter egg! My God!

I "patrolled" the alleged "sin centers" of Houston giving away Blessed crucifixes, miraculous medals, rosaries and other religious symbols/reminders - all of which were accepted with great respect and appreciation - and this man is passing out Easter eggs as a reminder of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ?

What next? Chocolate bunnies?

Even though Easter Eggs, traditionally (6), are supposed to symbolize the empty tomb of Christ, we venture to guess that 99+ % of Christians are not familiar with such symbolism, much less the youth in detention centers.  Furthermore, even in Francis had stated such symbolism in the Homily, an appropriate sacramental would have been preferable - and practical. How many people have you seen wearing an Easter Egg dangling from a  neck chain? or Using it as an object of devotion at prayer time?  When most of the residents of the Western World see Easter Eggs and Easter Bunnies, the last thing they think of is the Resurrection of Christ. They are the equivalent of  Santa Claus, who has stolen the true meaning of Christmas.

As the saying goes - "charity starts at home".... and so does humility. It was far more important to have properly handled the sexual abuse cases in Argentina (7) than to be washing and kissing the feet of young men and women and passing out eggs.

(6) Traditionally - but not known by many Christians - Easter eggs are special eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter or springtime. As such, Easter eggs are common during the season of Eastertide. In Christianity, they symbolize the empty tomb of Jesus - though an egg appears to be like the stone of a tomb, a bird hatches from it with life; similarly, the Easter egg, for Christians, is a reminder that Jesus rose from the grave, and that those who believe will also experience eternal life.

Have you ever noticed..... what the following particular verses from the Gospel of John reveal?

And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. And that disciple was known to the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the court of the high priest.  But Peter stood at the door without. The other disciple therefore, who was known to the high priest, went out, and spoke to the portress, and brought in Peter. [John 18:15-16]

How could a poor ex-fisherman nobody like John have such pull with the High Priest that he got into the court of the high priest and was obeyed by the portress who allowed Peter in?

Think about it. Meditate on it. You will soon realize how little we know/understand the treasures hidden within the Holy Scriptures.

No; it is not a mistake nor we are implying an illicit relationship between the High Priest and said disciple.
