As we all should know by now, not all events that we read about in the Holy Scriptures are to be emulated. Many less-than-desirable life examples crowd the Holy Texts, but the purpose of each example is to teach us a lesson.

For example - no matter how exalted David was, having an adulterous affair with a married woman and then having her husband killed [2 Samuel 11] is not the example that God wants us to follow. His point was to show us that no matter how He had exalted a human being, he had to bear the consequences of his transgressions of Divine Law [2 Samuel 12:10].

The lesson that man must learn is that God is THE Supreme Creator and if He says "No", it is "No" and conversely, if He say "Yes", it is indeed "Yes". Such state abandonment to the Will of God is based on two pillars: Faith and Trust.

Faith alone is not much unless we fully Trust in Him, Whom we cannot see.

Now, as we view the ongoing and ever worsening drama in the Middle East we cannot help but reflect on the fact that one single individual is responsible for all that misery: Abraham.

Abraham did not believe in the promise God had made to him and followed Sarai's advice and attempted to force the Hand of God by having an offspring with Sarai's Egyptian slave, Agar [Genesis 16].

Abraham conceived Ishmael with Agar. Ishmael is the father of all Arabs - the same Arabs who occupy now the Middle East and battle the Israelis and most Westerners. The Israelis and most Westerners are the other descendants of Abraham via Isaac - the child God had promised Abraham.

The same story as the one of the Garden of Eden - man believed/trusted his wife and not God.

There is another instance that we wish to highlight today, although we do not know what negative consequences were associated with it.

After the betrayal of Judas, the original group of the Apostles was reduced to eleven. Obviously Jesus wanted 12, not 11 or 13 - just exactly twelve. As it seems to be the rule, and not the exception, man decided to act without waiting for Divine action to resolve the situation of 11, and not 12, Apostles.

In the Acts of the Apostles, ch. 1, we read:

[15] In those days Peter rising up in the midst of the brethren, said:....

[21] Wherefore of these men who have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus came in and went out among us, [22] Beginning from the baptism of John, until the day wherein he was taken up from us, one of these must be made a witness with us of his resurrection. [23] And they appointed two, Joseph, called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. [24] And praying, they said: Thou, Lord, who knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, [25] To take the place of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas hath by transgression fallen, that he might go to his own place.

[26] And they gave them lots, and the lot fell upon Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Here Peter takes the lead and, unconcerned about the Will of God may be, decided to appoint another Apostle to occupy Judas position. Oh, yes they prayed about it, but that did not give God an option to exercise His Will on this matter. You see, it seems that God had already assigned Saul of Tarsus to take the 12th position vacated by Judas and now Peter was interfering with the Divine Plan.

Some may ask: "How could have Peter ensured that the Will of God was indeed made manifest in the replacement of the 12th Apostle?"

Believe it or not - it would have been quite simple.

Once they had chosen Joseph and Matthias as the two possible candidates and, interpreting the "gave them lots" as the equivalent of "drawing straws", Peter should have prepared three straws - all of different lengths. Joseph and Matthias would be assigned one each and there would be one straw assigned to no one. If when they drew the straws the one which was not assigned was drawn, it meant that they should wait for God to choose the 12th Apostle when, where and how He Willed to do so. Conversely, if either of the assigned straw was drawn, we could have been absolutely sure that such was the Divine Will.

Moral of the story: We must make sure that we are deferring to the Will of God (1) and not forcing His hand as Abraham and Peter did in the examples above.

It is really that simple..... and the outcome is always perfect.

In the June 26, 2014, Private News Commentary, News Report #2,  you published an article concerning the “out of control” Ebola virus epidemic in West Africa.

This vividly brought to mind a book I read back in the late 1990's entitled "The Hot Zone:  A Terrifying True Story",  by Richard Preston.  The copyright date of this book is 1994.

The first time I read the book, I was shocked beyond words.  What really hit hard was that at the time, my family and I were living in the Northern Virginia area in close proximity to the city of Reston, where the Reston Primate Quarantine Unit (known as "the monkey house"), was located.

This monkey house was involved with the importation and sale of laboratory animals, which were imported into the United States from tropical regions of the earth.  Imported monkeys had to be held in quarantine for a month before being shipped anywhere else in the United States.  This was to prevent the spread of infectious diseases that could kill other primates, including humans.

The Ebola virus’ emergence in the U.S. originated from sick monkeys, shipped from the Philippines, that were quarantined in the monkey house.

In the past two days, I reread the book.  It was even more riveting and shocking than the first time I read it.  Why?  Because it became tragically clear that what was first revealed in this book 20 years ago, has become, in this day, a horrifying reality.

Should you be interested in more information about  the book, go to  and search “The Hot Zone”.

As an aside, the monkey house no longer exists.  After reading the book the first time, I visited the area where the building should have been.  All I found was an empty plot of land.

May God have mercy on us all.

In Jesus' Holy Name,

Thank you for your timely feedback. "Timely" because just about the time your e-mail reached us the following news report from Fox News came in.

We quote:

Medical staff warned: Keep your mouths shut about illegal immigrants or face arrest

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say.

In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.

"There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested," a psychiatric counselor told me. "We were under orders not to say anything."

It actually gets much worse. We recommend everyone to read the entire Report. If the Report happens to disappear from on-line, let us know since we downloaded the entire Report and will make it available to you.

Modifying the already iconic phrase spoken in space and directed to NASA - "Houston, we have a problem" - we must now say: "Brethren, we have a problem; a real problem."

If we visit chapter 6 of the Book of the Prophet Isaiah we read:
[our underscoring ]

And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send? and who shall go for us? And I said: Lo, here am I, send me. And he said: Go, and thou shalt say to this people: Hearing, hear, and understand not: and see the vision, and know it not. Blind the heart of this people, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes: lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted and I heal them.

And I said: How long, O Lord? And he said: Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land shall be left desolate. [Isaiah 6:8-11]

What we are reading here is that allegedly God is sending Elijah to purposely lie to His chosen, yet wayward, people so that God has a justification to waste their cities and desolate their land, otherwise they could be converted and God find Himself in the position to have to heal them.

There is absolutely nothing more removed from the reality of God - even from the allegedly "wrathful" God of the Old Testament - than what we read in the above passage. We have checked in different Bibles (in two languages) and what you read above appears in all of them. What we find missing are the commentaries of the Biblical "scholars" denouncing what is an outright translation error.

Let us rewind to First Book of Kings 22:1-38 (1) and see what God does there - specifically in verses 1-23:
[our underscoring ]
I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. 20 And the Lord said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. 21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will persuade him. 22 And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.

23 Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

On the surface it may seem that we are dealing with the same "evil acting" God which some translators have invented, but that is not the case. In this case the Kings of Israel and Judah wanted their prophets to prophecy that they were going to conquer Ramoth in Gilead, regardless of the Will of God. Therefore, all God did was to comply with the wishes of the King of Israel and caused certain prophets to utter the words that the Kings wanted to hear.

This is vastly different from God causing people to go spiritually deaf and blind as we read in Isaiah 6.

Now, let us fast forward to the New Testament where we read:

For the heart of this people is grown gross, and with their ears they have been dull of hearing, and their eyes they have shut: lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. [Matthew 13:15]

He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. [John 12:40]

Now this IS the way God works. He speaks symbolically - in parables - and those who are His, will listen and understand while the others will not.

How could anyone even consider possible for God to purposely trick His creation so that they cannot be saved?

So much for the Biblical "scholars" and famed "theologians".

If there is one thing that justly infuriates me is the presentation of God in a manner that is not even close to His Reality - most specially when is done by alleged "scholars" and "theologians", not to mention linguistic "experts".

Now, let's go back to Isaiah 6 and make some very minor corrections to the translation in question and you will then see the real God and a text that is perfectly coherent with what Jesus said and was doing:

And he said: Go, and thou shalt say to this people: Hearing, you hear, and understand not: and seeing the vision, and know it not. The heart of this people is blind, and their ears heavy, and their eyes shut: if they would see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, they would be converted and I would heal them.

And that is why God sent a prophet - Elijah;  to help the blind see and the deaf hear and not to lose them!.

Once again - coherence (2) comes to the aid of the true Faithful. As for the others..... well, you know.... if it would be explained to them " any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them."

That is why some of our publications are public and others private.... and even the private ones are designed so that those who must see them, even if they are not in our Lists, will see them or hear about its contents.

We will like to share with you the experience of viewing the world through God's Glasses.

As you view this 4 minute video, you will be reminded that perceived attitudes and motives are not what they seem through human vision.

God's Glasses do not need adjustment, however, they must be maintained clean. The best cleaning is achieved through a healthy and strong prayer life.

Yes, the wearing of God's Glasses can be overwhelming but with the Grace of God one can handle what one sees, and then act accordingly.

P.S. We offer the following prayer frequently to prevent me from becoming distracted and miss what I am supposed to see.

Today let us take a look at "Forgiveness" - a much talked about act, with serious Eternal consequences, yet seldom understood nor practiced.

Let us invent two individuals, Joseph and Thomas, for the examples used in explaining "Forgiveness".

One Scenario

Joseph - out of ignorance or plain evilness causes harm to Thomas.

One day - Joseph is fitted with God's Glasses and sees the wrong he did to Thomas as well as the consequences of his actions.

Joseph immediately contacts Thomas and, acknowledging his wrong doing, asks for Thomas forgiveness.

Thomas ignores Joseph plea for forgiveness, in which case neither will Thomas' Father that is in heaven, forgive Thomas his sins. [Mark 11:26], while God will forgive the harm Joseph caused Thomas.

[18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. Wherefore he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the contrite of heart, [19] To preach deliverance to the captives, and sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of reward.  [Luke 4]

[13] And the publican, standing afar off, would not so much as lift up his eyes towards heaven; but struck his breast, saying: O God, be merciful to me a sinner. [14] I say to you, this man went down into his house justified rather than the other: because every one that exalteth himself, shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted. [Luke 18]

A Reverse Scenario

Joseph is oblivious to the harm he has caused Thomas and, logically, makes no effort of reparation.

Thomas, nonetheless, sincerely forgives Joseph in his heart. That is, Joseph's forgiveness has been granted but it can only be "activated" if Joseph seeks it.

In this case, Thomas is the winner, for he has been Perfect as the Father is Perfect.

[43] You have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thy enemy. [44] But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you: [45] That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust.

[46] For if you love them that love you, what reward shall you have? do not even the publicans this? [47] And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more? do not also the heathens this? [48] Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect[Matthew 5]

Of course, the above applies to all - not only to Roman Catholics, as its Administrators want the world to believe. After all, the "good thief" experienced Salvation and the Roman Catholic Church, with all its many man inspired (as opposed to Divinely inspired) dogmas, had not been established yet.

[39] And one of those robbers who were hanged, blasphemed him, saying: If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. [40] But the other answering, rebuked him, saying: Neither dost thou fear God, seeing thou art condemned under the same condemnation?

[41] And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this man hath done no evil. [42] And he said to Jesus: Lord, remember me when thou shalt come into thy kingdom. [43] And Jesus said to him: Amen I say to thee, this day thou shalt be with me in paradise. [Luke 23]

Brethren, let us strive to be Perfect as the Father is Perfect. We say "strive" because we will never be that Perfect in is totality; however, in the Final Judgment, we will be judged based on how hard we have striven to live the Word of God once we became truly aware of it.

Regarding your post of July 1, 2014 - There IS Salvation Outside the Roman Catholic Church Regardless of what the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church claims. ...
I truly hope and pray that every soul may go to heaven.  I know it is totally up to God but, how do you reconcile John 6, in particular, and not recognize it as the means for eternal salvation:

53 Jesus replied to them: In all truth I tell you, if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

54 Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I shall raise that person up on the last day.

I think you would help more souls if you would state and clarify this truth.  I think that is what the Catholic Church teaches.  Where else can one go to receive Him as He said (Eastern Orthodox included)?
You are and always have been in my daily prayers.

Excellent question! We thank you for this opportunity to address this global issue for the last time, if so is the Will of God.

First of all we wish to remind all of what we have stated - and live - about the Catholic Faith:

The Catholic Faith is the one Faith which has the greatest concentration of Divinely Revealed Truths.

By no means it has them all since God is the only Plenitude of Truth, but no other Faith has as many Truths in its Spiritual Treasury as the Catholic Faith. Be it the reality of the Seven Sacraments; be it the practice of Indulgences; be it the reality of Purgatory; be it the truth about the Immaculate Conception and Assumption of Mary, the Mother of Jesus Christ, True God and True Man; be it the Petrine Ministry; etc.

It is a tragedy how such immense Spiritual Treasure has been squandered in the pursuit of material treasures over the last 1,600  years of history at the expense of not fulfilling the Command of He Who established it, Our Lord and Master Jesus Christ.

If such immense Spiritual Treasure had been utilized in the manner it was intended to, the world would not be in the condition it is at the beginning of the 21st Century.

Of the Seven Sacraments it is the Holy Communion which provides supernatural nourishment to the soul when the bread and wine have been properly transubstantiated into the Body and Blood of Christ. Although it sounds as cannibalism it is not and it was never intended to be understood as that. Through the Grace of God, I actually know what happens to the bread and wine at the Consecration so, to me, the fact that it provides unequaled supernatural nourishment to the soul is an absolute reality and not because someone told me.

With that said, let us ask ourselves the following questions:

(a) How did the repented thief managed to be in the Kingdom with Jesus "this day"?

[39] And one of those robbers who were hanged, blasphemed him, saying: If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. [40] But the other answering, rebuked him, saying: Neither dost thou fear God, seeing thou art condemned under the same condemnation?

[41] And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this man hath done no evil. [42] And he said to Jesus: Lord, remember me when thou shalt come into thy kingdom. [43] And Jesus said to him: Amen I say to thee, this day thou shalt be with me in paradise. [Luke 23]

Obviously he did not fulfill what too many understand as an absolute requirement, as it seems to be spelled out in John 6: 53-54

(b) Why didn't Jesus tell His Apostles/Disciples to recruit the man who was "casting out devils in Thy Name" but "who followeth not us"?

[37] John answered him, saying: Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, who followeth not us, and we forbade him. [38] But Jesus said: Do not forbid him. For there is no man that doth a miracle in my name, and can soon speak ill of me. [39] For he that is not against you, is for you. [Mark 9]

After all, if they did not fulfill what too many understand as an absolute requirement, as it seems to be spelled out in John 6: 53-54, they would be lost forever.

(c) How did those who, in the very early stages of Christianity did not consume the properly transubstantiated bread and wine, enjoyed the promised Eternal Life?

After all, if they did not fulfill what too many understand as an absolute requirement, as it seems to be spelled out in John 6: 53-54, they would be lost forever.

(d) What about God's chosen ones - Abraham, David, Moses, John the Baptist? None of them consumed the Transubstantiated bread and wine. Did they miss the promised Eternal Life? Of course not!

They obviously did not fulfill what too many understand as an absolute requirement, as it seems to be spelled out in John 6: 53-54.

Last, but not least, what about those who have never heard of Jesus because of the monumentally failed Evangelization effort?

Let us use the official Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church (2) to answer that question.

"Outside the Church there is no salvation"

847 This affirmation is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church:

Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation.

848 "Although in ways known to himself God can lead those who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel, to that faith without which it is impossible to please him, the Church still has the obligation and also the sacred right to evangelize all men."

The Catechism is absolutely correct here. We can, in all humility, state so because through the Grace of God, and not because of his intellect, miguel de Portugal knows the way in which "God can lead those who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel, to that faith without which it is impossible to please him."

Given the above, it is obvious that the consumption of the Transubstantiated bread and wine is not an absolute requirement for the salvation of a soul but, as we do not tire of repeating, it is a tremendous help - probably the greatest help that a human could possibly have - in journeying through Time towards Eternity.

Back to what John wrote and look at it as it was originally intended.

53 Jesus replied to them: In all truth I tell you, if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I shall raise that person up on the last day.

Jesus is the Word of God made Flesh. If we consume - eat and drink - the Word of God, we will have Eternal Life.

We have warned the Faithful about the dangers of Biblical Literalism. (3) Let's face it, if we "go literal", precious little of the Catholic Faith would remain standing. For example, in the Last Passover Meal Jesus said:

....This is my body, which is given for you. Do this for a commemoration of me. [Luke 22:19]

Passover Meal took place once a year and conducted in accordance to the instructions God gave Moses and which Jesus adhered to (Remember?  Do not think that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. [Matthew 5:17]).

Now then, if we "go literal" the Mass should be offered only once a year, on the day of Passover the date of which is to be determined according to the parameters used by Jesus and not the Temple Masters, (4) and using the format Jesus used.

In closing, we wish to remind one and all that, just as The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath. [Mark 2:27], organized religion was made for man, and not man for organized religion. Man was made for God! Period!

I pray and trust that we are finished with this matter once and for all.

We will not explain this matter any further less those (on the global scale who may get to read the above) who are to be entrapped by the False Christ
".... at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them." [Matthew 13:15]

On yesterday's Divine Encouragement page we placed a note which read:

Our Good Lord and His Holy Mother have presented us a truly special gift today - the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. A gift that kept me in tears practically throughout the entire Mass. God Willing we will try to share it with you tomorrow to the extent I am able to transmit it.

Regretfully, we are not able to share it with you today. As a matter of fact, I do not know if I will ever be able to do so. Whenever I try to place it in words so that it can be explained, I feel that I am soiling the gift. Whenever I start to meditate on it, I break down in tears as the result of the tremendous emotion that it generates in my heart.

All we can say in relation to it is that: (a) The veneration of the Twin Hearts - the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Sacred Heart of Mary - on an equal footing, is not another pious exercise; (b) The intimate bond uniting Jesus and Mary - on the human level - could not be possibly increased beyond its reality (*) and this is not a pious cliché ; (c) The concrete reality of Mary's immediate Assumption once Her life on Earth was finished, simply had to be - it could not be otherwise; and (d) We could never venerate, and make reparation to, Mary enough; this is something that gives great pleasure to Her Son and which secures many Graces to all.
(*) The regular bond uniting a mother and son does not even come close to Their bond.

From (Mr.) IW @ US

I wanted to drop you a short note of thanks for today's [July 16th] Divine Encouragement. Because of your commitment to seek out and do God's will I am the recipient of today's great words of inspiration and reassurance. One of the first pieces of scripture that spoke to me was 2 Corinthians 12:9:

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"

The first time I heard these words I didn't understand them but they resonated so deeply inside of me that I knew they were the truth. These words from God comforted and confounded me but I didn't know why. It was about a year after I first heard these words that my weakness was put on full display by being arrested for [edited out]. As I sat in the police station cell I was at peace. I knew that I belonged there because I had sinned in my fear and insecurities. With God's great grace and peace I knew I had to take full responsibility for my decisions and actions and live in complete trust of Him.

As I look over my life I can clearly see God's had in helping me to learn my weaknesses. It has been a long but joyful journey because of God's great graces and peace. I was always ashamed of my brokenness and weakness but now I see it for what it was – God's great mercy in drawing me back to Him. As Paul said in the above verse from 2 Corinthians;

"Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me"

All of the above, in addition to today's [July 16th] Divine Encouragement, ties in powerfully with Isaiah's prophecy mentioned in this past Sunday's Gospel (Matthew 13:1-23);

"For the heart of this people is grown gross, and with their ears they have been dull of hearing, and their eyes they have shut: lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them."

It's our willful blindness and deafness that prevent us from seeing our weaknesses, thus converting our hearts and being healed by God. It is in God's great mercy that if He wants us drawn closer to Him and we do not respond, by looking at the truth inside of us, then He will increase the pain quotient (i.e. Jonah) so that we will understand, convert and be healed .

God's words that the above process is not the work of the moment, and that it takes living through our times of faithlessness and denial to more closely imitate Him, that I find of great comfort and inspiration.

Thank you for responding to God's will and faithfully carrying it out.

Thank you for sharing much of yourself with us and granting us permission to publish your letter.

We are glad, and rejoice, to see your great spiritual progress - up to and including that fact that you know that you are not "there" yet. None of us really get "there" while on Earth since the closer we get to God the more we see the imperfections in us that need to be corrected - something I am profoundly grateful for.

When a human thinks that he/she is "there" or "almost there" it marks the time where their descent will start.....
[43] And when an unclean spirit is gone out of a man he walketh through dry places seeking rest, and findeth none. [44] Then he saith: I will return into my house from whence I came out. And coming he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. [45] Then he goeth, and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is made worse than the first. So shall it be also to this wicked generation. [Matthew 12]
Notice that the unclean spirit found the house, from whence he came out, "empty" . Had the Spirit of God dwelt in that house he could not have returned to it with seven spirits more wicked than him.  As long as the Spirit of God is in residence we will never think that we are "there" or "almost there".

May God continue to grant us the Grace to be able to serve Him by serving you and all who wish to be served.

A brief follow up on the posts regarding God's Glasses.

We must not misunderstand the key message: Understanding the suffering of others does not mean that we must tolerate abuses.

Of course: (a) Not responding to a Good morning! or (b) Someone slipping into the parking spot that circumstantially was for you; or (c) Cutting into a line with the proverbial "I just have a quick question"; (d) or Not doing for you a job well done on occasion; (e) A grumpy waiter; etc. is not what we mean by "abuse".

The "abuse" that we are not to tolerate is, for example, domestic abuse, abuse against one's property, physical and verbal abuse, sexual abuse, etc.

When we tolerate abuse of the type listed above, we are contributing/encouraging such behavior with all the spiritual implications, for the abusers and ourselves, associated with such behavior.

Wearing God's Glasses, when confronted with a real abusive situation, helps us to: (a) handle the situation in a charitable manner and not in a hateful/spiteful manner; and (b) not take it personally which, in turn, helps us exercise item (a) above.

We hope that now the complete message delivered by the video God's Glasses is crystal clear.

Regarding Mental Reprogramming...  and the various ways to successfully achieve it....

Understanding it and seeing how common it is can be frightening, specially when revealed by a professional in that field.

This is a "must read" document even though is sixteen pages long. The document was originally published in the year 2000 but we have just edited it for clarity. Even if you read it fourteen years ago, we encourage you to do so again. You will now recognize many techniques that were not obvious then.

I just watched Obama speech about the downed plane in Ukraine.
His comments were "This was a global tragedy", "International investigation", "It is time for Peace and Security to be restored in Ukraine",
"Putin Improved language but no action", "This is a wake up call to Europe and the World".
Obama has the Secret Service to protect him but will not raise his hand to protect any one.

Obama: Only words and no action. When will he wake up?
I pray the Lord watches over us and protect us.
There will be action. The trigger will only come from Russia.

Russia has a free hand, granted by Obama, and at any moment will finish us off.

You ask: When will he wake up?

We answer: When Susie (1) does..... at which time there will not be any coffee to smell (2).

Most in the world have been programmed for that.

(1) Who is Susie? She fell asleep out of boredom.
(2) Wake up and smell the coffee is used to tell someone that they are wrong about a particular situation and must realize what is really happening.

We wish to remind our readers about the fundamental Road Map to serve God and not the World.  This is so important that we meditate upon it at least once a week.

The Lord has given to every man his work. It is his business to do it, and the devil's business to hinder him if he can. So sure as God has given you a work to do, satan will try to hinder you.

He may present other things more promising. He may allure you by wordly prospects, he may assault you with slander, torment you with false accusations, set you to work defending your character, employ pious persons to lie about you, editors to assail you, and excellent men to slander you.

You may have Pilate and Herod, Ananias and Caiaphas all combined against you, and Judas standing by you ready to sell you for thirty pieces of silver; and you may wonder why all those things come upon you.

Can you not see that the whole thing is brought about through the craft of the devil? To draw you off from your work and hinder your obedience to God?

Keep about your work. Do not flinch because the lion roars; do not stop to stone the devil's dogs; do not fool away your time chasing the devil's rabbits. Do your work!

Let liars lie, let sectarians quarrel, let corporations resolve, let editors publish, let the devil do his worst; but see to it that nothing hinders you from fulfilling the work God has given you.

He has not sent you to make money. He has not commanded you to get rich. He has never bidden you to defend your character, He has not set you at work to contradict falsehood which satan and his servants may start to peddle. If you do these things, you will do nothing else; you will be at work for yourself and not for the Lord.

Keep about your work. Let your aim be as steady as a star. Let the world brawl and bubble. You may be assaulted, wronged, insulted, slandered, wounded and rejected; you may be abused by foes, forsaken by friends and despised and rejected of men, but see to it, with steadfast determination, with unfaltering zeal, that you pursue the great purpose of your life and object of your being, until at last you can say: "I have finished the work which Thou gavest me to do".

[19] Lay not up to yourselves treasures on earth: where the rust, and moth consume, and where thieves break through and steal. [20] But lay up to yourselves treasures in heaven: where neither the rust nor moth doth consume, and where thieves do not break through, nor steal.

[21] For where thy treasure is, there is thy heart also. [22] The light of thy body is thy eye. If thy eye be single, thy whole body shall be lightsome. [23] But if thy eye be evil thy whole body shall be darksome. If then the light that is in thee, be darkness: the darkness itself how great shall it be! [24] No man can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one, and love the other: or he will sustain the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. [25] Therefore I say to you, be not solicitous for your life, what you shall eat, nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than the meat: and the body more than the raiment? Today we will share with our select readership the highlights of a true story which illustrates what is to have "Eyes" and "See and also Not See" and "Ears" and "Hear and also Not Hear" - that is, Selective Seeing and Hearing.

There is a family who has helped m de P since 1993, in the measure that they were able at each stage of their way. God bestowed many Graces upon them, Graces which were not necessarily used in accordance to the Will of God. [Their continued assistance to m de P was probably the one instance where they used those Graces correctly.]

Although they started to observe the religious holidays and to attend Mass every Sunday, their eyes were more and more fixed on worldly matters. Trusting man and not God, things started to go downhill rapidly. Soon they were at the doors of bankruptcy and many legal entanglements.

Naturally, they were helping m de P because they knew about, and believed, the work that God had called him to carry on. I spoke with them openly about all matters relating to the End of These Times and how our efforts were being manifested in the world stage. That is, their eyes were wide open for that but did not act accordingly.

Even after their rapid downfall they have tried to help m de P in any way they could - which, of course, right now amounts to very little for they barely have enough for themselves. (Recently I ate with them and the main - and only course - was boiled spaghetti with five hot dogs sliced and mixed in. Not even a salad - they could not afford the 50 cents for the lettuce. We were five at the table. A very sad sight!)

I felt I had to do more for them than praying on their behalf so I suggested that we get together one night a week and pray a family Scriptural Rosary. There I was every Tuesday, with candle and simple images in hand to set the mood.

I taught them the appropriate way of praying the Rosary and the appropriate way to present their requests to God. I thought that they knew how to do so but, like so many of the Catholics I have interacted with in the last 29 years, they did not.

I  noticed a luke warm interest but I thought that they did not want to impose upon me. I was wrong. At the first opportunity - for work reasons, of course - one Tuesday was canceled, then another, etc.. It was at this point when I told them to let me know when they would have the time to pray the Rosary since I did not want to "impose" upon them. That was the end of the weekly Rosary - a Rosary which they should be praying three times a day!

Conclusion: Just like faith alone is not enough if one does not live according to it (1), Seeing and Hearing are only part of the story. If one does not resolutely act upon what one sees and hear - and even believes! - the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel is indeed a train coming head on at high speed.
(1) Having faith - knowing that God exists - by itself means little. satan knows, more than any human, that God really exists! That is why having faith and not living according to it is worse that not having faith at all.

In the Gospel of Luke..... chapter 12 verses 49-53 we read:

Think ye, that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, no; but separation. For there shall be from henceforth five in one house divided: three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against his father, the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother, the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

How could this possibly be, after all, He Is the Prince of Peace? Yet, it is not an improper translation of the original texts - every single word, and message conveyed, is true.

Remember what we wrote in the document about the Selection of the Elect (1) and how God had been doing that since the time of Adam and Eve - who constituted the first group of the Elects:

Then, Jesus, the Messiah arrives in the scene. The Elect of the time - the Temple Masters and their subjects - reject the Messiah and crucify Him. Once  the (then current) Elect rejected the Savior - the One Who would have led them back to Paradise - God, once again, redefined who was among the Elect.  Now, the Elect group would include anyone who acknowledged and received Jesus as the true Messiah.  This was the "Fifth Cut" of the Elect.

Obviously the "separation" Jesus speaks about through Luke takes place between those who acknowledge and receive Jesus as the true Messiah and those who will not - whether they are blood related, in-laws or just neighbors.

Another example of perfect coherence within the Holy Texts when not take out of context.

Now let us tie together the first and second entries of today's Private FYI&R mailing.

As you may recall, my High School graduation companions hired a Private Investigation agency in New York to track me down since we had been disconnected for over 40 years.

Once we connected it was obvious that we no longer "marched to the same drummer". They were still "there" - 40 years back! Nonetheless, one of my best friends of that time and I resumed our friendship as if the 40 years never existed. Even though she is a Jew, she "saw" everything I shared with her and the agreement was amazing. Many times she received the Divine Encouragement mailings which she enjoyed very much. Unfortunately,  she had "Eyes" and "Saw but also Not Saw" and "Ears" and "Heard but also Not Heard".

In this case, her Judaism was not the issue - she was and behaved more as a Christians than most "Christians" I have met in my journey. The problem was not acting upon which she Saw and Heard. The world attraction was too powerful for her.

We have disconnected (as Luke wrote: "separated")  again - leaving the door open in case her vision and her actions ever become coherent.

With reference to the latest news (1) coming from the area of Iraq controlled by ISIS:

Last Thursday operatives of the Islamic State, formerly known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS),  completely levelled one Mosul's most well-known shrine: The Nabi Yunus. This shrine was built on the reputed burial site of a prophet known in the Koran as Yunus and in the Bible as Jonah.

An official listed the most notable losses to Muslim heritage as being the shrines of Imam Yahya Ibn al-Qassem, Aoun al-Din and Nabi Danial. "But the worst destruction was of Nabi Yunus (Jonah), which has been turned to dust," he said.

My question is: Could this brutal act could be symbolically considered as a Sign of Jonah for These Times?

An evil and adulterous generation seeketh a sign: and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of Jonah the prophet. [Matthew 12:39]

Thank you for bringing this important news report to our attention.

We have every reson to believe that such event can be taken as a sign from Heaven to underscore and confirm to this "evil and adulterous generation" the times that we are living through; times which will be confirmed by the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ just as His Resurrection proved to the world Who He really Was.

This sign is in keeping with an earlier and critical sign which confirmed that we are indeed living at the very End of These Times. Jesus alerted us thus:

When therefore you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place: he that readeth let him understand. [Matthew 24:15]

Which was manifested when...

On September 14, during his trip to the Vatican for a Wednesday public audience, the Pontiff (Benedict XVI) will bless a statue of St. Josemaria Escriva, the founder of Opus Dei. The statue was recently installed in the outer wall of St. Peter's Basilica...  (2)

Even the day chosen by the Opus Dei was September 14th - the celebration of the Triumph of The Cross - a date which we have been highlighting for years in the listing of Religious Days of Importance as a date of greater eschatological importance. Obviously when the warning - "you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" - is being fulfilled, it can be considered of great eschatological importance since it is announcing His impending return to claim His people. What can be greater than this?

That is for Him to determine and show His Elect.

A friend forwarded the following link to me.

It depicts the life of a priest named Fr. Emil Joseph Kapaun (April 20, 1916 – May 23, 1951), who was a Catholic military chaplain during the Korean War.

The video is 5 minutes long.  I found it to be very moving and inspirational.

Were there more priests like this one was…
An American Hero -

Thank you for sharing this with our readership. It is indeed inspirational and a reminder about how those who are truly at the service of God conduct themselves. A very, very far cry from those who bask in the glory of what they should do, but do not.

This fine priest should have been canonized years ago and made the Patron Saint of chaplains. Unfortunately this has not been the case since it will only highlight the mediocrity of today's priestly class - as always, exceptions noted.

From miguel de Portugal

There is a very complex family situation for which our advice has been sought.

In a nut shell, it involves:

(a) A divorce as the result of purposeful adultery by the husband.
(b) The husband has a history of emotional instability.
(c) There are three young children who are mostly under the mother's care.
(d) Divorce still is "in process"; how much of the custody (contact) the unstable father will have with the children is still to be decided by the court.
(e) The maternal grandmother of the children is the one person who can reach to the psyche and soul of her unstable former son in law.
(f) We strongly feel that, outside of prayer, unless this young man's psyche and soul is stabilized and defused through his interaction with someone  he can trust and respect  - in this case being his ex mother in law -  literally anything can happen with most grave consequences.

Summarizing how we see the situation based on all the background and current information provided by this young man's mother in law, and if I were the judge at the divorce trial, I would rule that the mother should have full custody of the children with the father only having supervised visitation rights; a ruling that should be reviewed and adjusted five years hence upon evaluation of the psychological state of the father.

Our recommendation to the ex mother in law (the children's maternal grandmother) was to meet as many times as necessary with her ex son in law - who trusts and respects her greatly - and help him out from the spiritual and psychological darkness he is submerged in. The children's grandmother is indeed a Christian as well as a professional in the health care field which qualifies her to at least present a qualified "shoulder to cry upon" to this poor tormented young man.

The problem is that the ex father in law forbids his wife from contacting - much less confer with - this poor, yet highly unstable, tormented young man. Therefore, what she has asked us follows:

1.) In my husband's role as the legitimate head of this household - isn't it my responsibility as his spouse to be obedient to him in such matters, even if it goes completely "against the grain" for me to do so?

2.) However, in so doing, am I "enabling" my husband's behavior?  If so…

3.) Should I deliberately go against my husband's strong wishes and do what you recommend, which is what I've always wanted to do, but have not done for the reasons stated above?

To which we answer:

[5] For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be in one flesh. [6] Therefore now they are not two, but one flesh[Matthew 19: 5-6 and Mark 10: 7-8]

...and our firm believe that the head of a household, wherein both man and woman are alive and in sound state of mind, is the man, we deem appropriate that, in this particular case, you defer to his decision.

In our opinion, such deference would only become null and void should the husband's acts/activities/behavior would make her a party of acts/activities/behavior which contravene Divine or Civil Law.

Now then, mystically speaking, should any harm come upon anyone as the result of the husband's decision to block the one possibility (outside of prayer, of course) of defusing a potentially explosive situation, he will share the spiritual "cost" of whatever may happen.

We wish to expand on the family situation we addressed on the last issue of this page. Specifically to use it as an example of how the merits of the prayers should be applied.

As you may recall we stated: "...divorce as the result of purposeful adultery by the husband". What we left out was that the woman who was instrumental to this adultery befriended the man's wife with the sole purpose of getting close to him and initiate the adulterous relationship. Considering his history of emotional instability, he would be a very easy prey... and indeed was!

Therefore, we have identified the source of evil in this sad saga. One thing is that an adulterous relationship "just happened" and another one is to consciously stage it. Both are indeed adultery, but one is the result of human frailty and a set of propitiating circumstances, and another is the result of a conscious evil act.

Now then - the first individual that needs to be prayed for is precisely the woman who staged this drama through her evil behavior. The idea being to assist in her conversion or, should she be one that is destined to hell, neutralize her evil behavior.

But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you: [Matthew 5:44]

Second in line for prayers is the unstable young man so that he may be able to see what he must see and act upon it. For example.... How can he trust a woman who did such an evil deed? She should not be trusted on anything - Anything! He should run away from her as fast as his legs can carry him.

Thirdly, we must pray for the legal team handling the divorce details - judge included - so that the Holy Spirit of God move each one to act in the best interest of all. Yes, we said "all".  That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust. [Matthew 5:45]

In fourth place, we must pray for the consolation and strength of the wronged young wife and mother of three children. We should also seek that God, from His infinite Power source, grant additional power to the Guardian Angels of the children for their enhanced protection.

In the case of the mother in law, whose husband refuses to allow her to assist in defusing the unstable young man - She must pray also so that the Holy Spirit of God move her husband to agree to her healing interaction with her former son in law, as long as it is the Will of God.

The above logic and prayer priority should be applied - modifying the details on a case by case basis - whenever we are facing any crisis and need some miracles to be worked out.

If the reader notices, what we recommend is far from what most Christians would do as the result of the much mentioned failed Evangelization effort. The reader should also noticed that we did not dictate to God what the outcome should be. We know that He Always Knows Best!

Indeed God Always Knows Best..... but, unfortunately, He is mostly misunderstood!

There is a parable which, as many gems from the Holy Scriptures, is usually glossed over:

The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.'

Then he said, 'This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry."'

"But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?'

"This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God." [Luke 12:16-21]

It really did not matter how rich the man was - the problem was his priority not the amount of wealth he possessed. God and His plans for us must always be first; then, materially rich or poor we will always be well because we will be rich toward God. Then, it will not really matter whether we die today, tomorrow or fifty years from now.

....and to think that the world has been brainwashed to believe that "Things go better with Coke!" when in reality
"Things go (always!) better with God!"
