From (Mrs.) IW @ US

Thank you so very much for last Thursday's posting (1).  It's a message for me from God, delivered through you, at a time when I very much need it.
For the past few months, I have been constantly reminded of  sins I committed in my former life.  I know God has forgiven me, because over the years I have made some general confessions in which I ask forgiveness for ALL my past sins; those I remember as well as those I have forgotten.  I know God has forgiven me, yet the memories continue to plague me.  I wasn't sure if God was allowing me to recall the shame and guilt of them because it is (as you mentioned) part of the purgatorial process, or if it was satan trying to tempt me into despair.
After what you shared in Thursday's message (1), I believe it is the former.  That brings me much comfort.  Again, thank you.

A. Thank you for your consoling feedback. If we can bring peace and consolation, in the Name of God, to just one person in one day,  the full day of trials and tribulations was worth it.

There is another reason, besides the two already mentioned, why we may remember a past sin, and our sorrow for having committed it (out of ignorance before a major conversion). God showed that to me while living in Fatima in the early nineties.

As I was walking past the Chapel of Apparitions I  was pondering about the frequent reminder of a particular past sin since I knew that it had been long forgiven and paid for. Then, in a voice-over fashion, He told me that He was allowing it since I was still vulnerable to fall in the same manner. It was His way of insuring that I would not commit the same sin again. It brought me immense joy and security knowing that He would do whatever was necessary to protect me from myself.

Naturally, as time went by I did not remember it anymore since the danger was gone.

(1)  The beginning of said mailing:

As we have said before, the closer one gets to God, the increased intensity of the Divine Light allows us to see faults and flaws that we did not even know we had until the Divine Light shone brighter.

The same goes for our past transgressions, also called sins. The closer we get to God the worse our past sins and their consequences appear - even though they may have been forgiven a long time ago.

To that we now can add a Purgatorial perspective. We have said that the "punishment" in Purgatory consists in viewing, thus suffering for, the harm our sins have caused to others.

Now then, imagine that while still in the flesh, as the Divine Light shows us more of our past and present failings, we are supernaturally aware of the serious harm that we have caused someone - without knowing it or intending it.

That is precisely the subject of today's sharing for the benefit of all.... etc.

The statement at the end of the Private News Commentary says that we can share it.  Is that a mistake?

Thank you for asking but, no, it is not a mistake.

If the Holy Spirit of God moves you to share something that we have published with someone else, that is exactly what God expects you to do.

The above applies unless we specifically state that the information is not to be shared with third parties. When we make that qualification it is because God has made clear to us that the information was not to transcend those who receive it from us.

While I was growing up, my family had live-in maids. While I was somewhere between 15 and 17 years old, we had one who was a little older than myself and whose name was Clara. The only thing that I remember of her is her facial expression when, one day, in response to something she said, I reminded her that she was just a maid and that I was part of the family she served.

As her eyes filled with tears her face became the portrait of how deeply I had wounded her. (Please note: My remark had nothing to do with sex in any form or fashion. It was an arrogant "put down".)

Of course, I never remembered that incident or Clara until His Light reached a very high intensity leaving very little of may past and present hidden.

There is no telling what my remark may have eventually caused poor Clara, but it must have been serious since God made sure that I become aware of it under His Light in recent times - 55 years or so later.

Knowing that with God everything has a very specific and constructive purpose, and that He was reminding me of this, my derogatory words may have eventually caused her much harm. Therefore, I decided that I should make amends to Clara right now.

Logically, I do not know if she is still alive or has crossed the veil - perhaps even suffering in Purgatory for sins that she may have committed as the result of my offense.

Therefore, yesterday's Mass intentions included spiritual benefits for Clara's soul - regardless of which side of the veil she may be now. I hope that God grants me the Grace to personally apologize to her at the other side of the veil.

There is a prayer that we offer frequently and which we are right now recommending to our readers. It follows:

Remind me, O Lord, that every minute is important and that all life belongs to You.

Help me, Lord, to live in such a manner that every night I can lay down to sleep without seeing the face of someone whom I have deeply grieved.

I deeply thank God for this great opportunity to make the appropriate amends while still in the flesh.

We feel that you will find this list (1) of people excommunicated by the Roman Catholic Church, over the centuries, of interest if not amusing, most specially in the light of the Ratzinger-Bergoglio "Papacy"

This is a list of some of the more notable people excommunicated by the Catholic Church. It includes only excommunications acknowledged or imposed by a decree of the Pope or a bishop in communion with him. Automatic excommunications are not included here if not confirmed by a bishop.

In Roman Catholic canon law, excommunication is a censure and thus a "medicinal penalty" intended to invite the person to change behavior or attitude, repent, and return to full communion.

Excommunicated Catholics are still Catholics and remain bound by obligations such as attending Mass, even though they are barred from receiving the Eucharist and from taking an active part in the liturgy (reading, bringing the offerings, etc.).

Priests and bishops may be excommunicated for violating solemn vows pertaining to their vocation.

We presume that the cover up and promotion (by shuffling offenders from parish to parish) of pedophilia has been exempted.....

How can any true Christian looking in from the outside take the Roman Catholic Church seriously? The greatest problem is that, logically, they think that the Pristine Catholic Faith has been stained by these children of Babylon when it is the most complete and richest Faith on Earth (2).

In Physics: The conservation of energy principle stipulates that: Energy can be neither created nor destroyed, but can change form.

In Mystical Theology: The creation of wealth principle that we propose stipulates that: Wealth cannot be created; it can only be transformed by the action of man.

If the action of man is inspired and guided by God: The amount of wealth transformed into usable wealth by humanity will be essentially limitless.

Conversely, if the action of man is not inspired nor guided by God, as it has been since man defied God: The amount of wealth transformed into usable wealth by humanity will be periodically destroyed without being of real use in the annals of human history.

It is that simple. Think about it and you will understand that the real progress of humanity has been nil, at best.

Points to Ponder About.... (1)

1. Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble, but it is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout.

2. So why is a car's windshield so large and the rear view mirror so small? Because our past is not as important as our future (2). So, look ahead and move on.

3. Friendship is like a book. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes years to write.

4. All things in life are temporary. If it's going well, enjoy it, that won't last long. If it's going badly, don't worry, that won't last long either. (3)

5. Old friends are gold! New friends are diamond! If you get a diamond, don't forget the gold! Because to hold a diamond, you always need a base of gold!

6. Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, God smiles from above and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!"

7. When God solves your problems, you have faith in His abilities; when God doesn't solve your problems, He has faith in your abilities. (4)

8. A blind person asked St. Anthony, "Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?" He replied, "Yes, losing your vision!" (5)

9. When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them; sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

10. Worrying does not take away tomorrow's troubles, it takes away today's peace.

With reference to a certain aspect of the "Divine Accounting"....

If we give up a sinful behavior out of love for God and our desire not to offend Him, we do not only eliminate a source of future "negative points" for our "Heavenly Invoice"; we have also secured a "Mercy Bonus", which will greatly reduce the "negative points" that we have accrued in the past as the result of such behavior.

If we give up the same sinful behavior to land a wife or a husband or a job, etc., we have only succeeded in eliminating a source of future "negative points" for our "Heavenly Invoice", but such reason is not entitled to the "Mercy Bonus".

If one struggles and continues to strive, in all sincerity, to eliminate such sinful behavior a "Mercy Bonus" will be utilized when the "Heavenly Invoice" reflecting such sinful behavior is presented.

Regarding the Exaltation of the Cross date coinciding with the Jewish Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)....

Using the link you gave (1), on the year 2089 Yom Kippur starts on the evening of the 13th and end, as on 2013, on the evening of the 14th.

That is - there are only two years in the 21st century when the Jewish Day of Atonement and the Exaltation of the Cross coincide: 2013 and 2089

(1) This Link

A. Thank you very much for taking the time to reesarch it so that we may share it with our readership.

It is interesting to note that....

The title in Spanish of the History Channel documentary of Jorge Bergoglio is "El papa del fin del mundo".

The correct translation of said title to English would be: "The Pope of the End of the World"

However, the official title in English is: "The Pope From the End of the World" although it should have been "The Pope Who Is From the End of the Earth"

Which would have translated into Spanish as: "El papa que viene del fin de la Tierra".

Argentina is referred to, in Spanish, as "the end of the world" but in English should be called "the end of the Earth" or  "the bottom of the Earth".

In any case - as we have often said:  God continues to use every channel to alert His Elect about the times we are living through.... even The History Channel!

[The Triumph of the Cross and Yom Kippur - Jewish Day of Atonement]

From (Mrs.) LM @ US

I was stopped on my tracks when I read the Divine Encouragement of September 11th and I am puzzled.

[Mrs. LM is referring to the following specific statement: "All your work for the moment is in the material plane and the spiritual is only to help the material. When your material goal is reached then the material will serve only to attain the spiritual."]

I am retired and have been since 2006.  When I look at the word "material", I think making money. I don't have any success that I covet, I just want to be productive, in the volunteer since. God has positioned me in some very interesting areas of involvement and I need to make sure I don't over-volunteer.

My father is my main focus, as I continue to assist/provide with his care.
Can the material plane be something other than making money?  If not, I have already reached my material goal and my retirement is serving my spiritual goal already.  If the second part is true, I do understand that!
Thank you for all you do for the Body of Christ.

A. The "material plane" refers to all that is not in the spiritual, unseen, plane and it is not limited to money.

Using your particular example - As you assist/provide for the care of your father, you are working in the material plane while, at the same time, attaining the spiritual goals set by God for you.... which result from the work that you are doing in the material plane.

One does not finish the work in the material plane before one starts to attain one's spiritual goals. As we work in the material plane, in accordance to the Will of God, we are already inching towards the fulfillment our spiritual goals, also set by God - a movement/progress which is only possible because of our activities in the material plane.

The examples may vary but the mechanics are always the same. As I look back to my professional career I can see how God, unknown to me at that time, was setting me up in situations which would greatly aid me in fulfilling the spiritual goals that God had set for me.

As we have said before, and have been criticized for saying it but I will, nonetheless: It seems that my professional career was one string of Mission Impossible projects - which were made possible. My humanity was being "programmed" to believe that all was possible if the appropriate effort was placed into it. That prepared me psychologically to accept the awesome spiritual reality that all is indeed possible for God.

The people I dealt on a one to one basis, while holding the Ace card of the interaction, were of such stature in the financial/business world (those who move the strings) that no human would psychologically intimidate me later on, no matter their world status. Later on God used that psycho training so that I would feel psychologically comfortable to says what I had to in His Name to a Pope or a President or a General, etc.

Now perhaps you may understand the meaning of:

[6] And I said: Ah, ah, ah, Lord God: behold, I cannot speak, for I am a child. [7] And the Lord said to me: Say not: I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee: and whatsoever I shall command thee, thou shalt speak. [8] Be not afraid at their presence: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. [9] And the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth: and the Lord said to me: Behold I have given my words in thy mouth: [Jeremiah 1]

Regarding your statement "I need to make sure I don't over volunteer" - If we place everything we do in the Hands of God to be Administered by Him in accordance to His Will, the risk of over- or under- doing anything is minimal.

The key elements to perfection are: Seek the Will of God; Abandon oneself to His Will; and Stay out of His way. The hardest part is staying out of His Way since fallen humanity has in its spiritual DNA the "code" that makes us believe that we really know better than God.

I pray that we have fully answered your question/concerns.

From miguel de Portugal

In the past we have explained why the "blasphemy of the Spirit" and speaking "against the Holy Ghost" triggers the "not be forgiven" mechanism as we are taught by Jesus through the following verses:

[31] Therefore I say to you: Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but the blasphemy of the Spirit shall not be forgiven. [32] And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but he that shall speak against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come. [Matthew 12]

However, we have not explained why it may be that speaking "a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him".

Think of this: The non Jews who spoke ill of Jesus and treated Him badly (for example, the Roman soldiers) were dealing as if Jesus was just a man, just another a human being.

However, those who said...

This man casteth not out the devils but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. [Matthew 12:24]

He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of devils he casteth out devils. [Mark 3:22]

He casteth out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of devils. [Luke 11:15]

....were the religious authorities who were so blind that they could not discern the Spirit of God - the Holy Spirit - in Jesus. So blind that would go as far as claiming that Jesus had a demonic spirit in spite of His behavior.

On August 27th, 2013 we published, in this same forum, a segment which started as follows:

One must wonder why.... The "People's Pope", the "Pope of the Poor", also known as Jorge Bergoglio, ignored, even in his days as Argentina's Primate, a major center of Marian Apparitions and Messages, which also included numerous statements by Jesus Himself, in his own native land at San Nicolás, Argentina.

What makes this situation more striking is that is one of the few Marian Apparitions which has gained such fast approvals, and action, from local Bishops - something that was only seen with the Fatima, Kibeho and Akita events.

To ensure that I had not misread the inspiration received from above, or had overlooked something regarding this issue, we asked Mrs. RM to research it via the Internet to see if she could find anything that would show that I had misread the inspiration received from above.

After her work, the Red Flag that we had initially raised about this issue,  became a flashing Red Flag in neon lights. (1)

For your convenience we have lightly edited (2) the format of the e-mail report that she sent to us in response and have posted it for your review. Note that it is a temporary post and will be taken down in a week.

If  you run into a grammatical or sentence structure problem (2) know that Mrs. RM's mother tongue is Spanish, yet she makes a heroic effort in communicating with us in English since she knows that most of our Private audience cannot understand Spanish.

We wish to take this opportunity to request your prayers of support for Mrs. RM - She is single-handedly raising her children, obviously must work for their support and, on top of that, she does a tremendous research support work for us. For example - all of those posts about the verses from the Bible which have been left out of Mass readings were possible through her tireless efforts.

May God Bless and Keep her and her children!

(1) Although it seems that some radicals have tried to commandeer the San Nicolás apparitions, this was not the case during the first years of the events; events which were completely ignored by Bergoglio all the while they were openly endorsed by key members of the Argentine curia.
(2) We did not want to delay the publication of this confirmation any further thus we only edited the format and left all else the same.

From time to time I write a brief outline about events of my past life  - Before Christ and After Christ - and share it with those who have indicated to us that they have an interest in reading where m de P comes from. Those on that List were the ones who responded to the invitation mailed on June 16, 2012.

As a way of introducing the purpose of today's topic for the Private FYI&R post, we will quote from said invitation:

Even though I fully understand the difference between "false humility" and "true humility" and strive to practice true humility, sometime I do not have the courage to practice true humility to its limit, thus the scruples, thus the delays (of the series of "Sharing Life Example" letters).

As I move on to the purpose of this letter, keep very much in mind that I have proclaimed before Heaven and Earth that, even my unconditional "Yes" to God, was only  through His Grace. That is, I cannot personally claim anything.

A few days ago we received a brief and curt e-mail from someone who seems to have become a former cooperator to The M+G+R Foundation work.

The brief statement was: "Is this humility?" followed by one of those "Sharing Life Experiences" letters dated 02-21-13. For your convenience we will reproduce just the first example of said letter and, after it, we will make the comments which I think appropriate.

Today we will give the background to why I frequently show great lack of patience with today's scientists.

Time frame:
Within the last forty five years

On yesterday's News Commentary you already probably read "Why have we allowed this to happen? Where are our super cyber scientists? On a looong coffee break?" and in the past you must have also read other outbursts of impatience regarding the failings of the scientific community.

We wish to give you the background to such outburst while at the same time, Glorify the God that I ignored for the first 42 years on my life.... precisely the period which I will cover now. I ignored God, but He did not ignore me!

In my professional career - Engineering - the phrase (really, the excuse) "No, it can't be done" did not exist.

First Example

Two years out of school I was assigned to a "Mission Impossible" like project for the fourth petrochemical company of the world. Another Chemical Engineer (Ch.E.) and I were to spearhead the development of a process from the test tube level to a full commercial operation in record time. The President of the company said to us: "Just do it! Do not let material resources limit you. Just do it!"

We were starting from "zero" but, the "It can't be done" route was not an option. Working with metallurgists and chemists we had to, in addition to the task of transforming a test tube idea into a multi-million pounds per year process, we had to:

(a) Invent new metal alloys. The existing alloys would not hold the chemicals in question.
(b) Develop new analytical procedures to detect  chemicals at the part per billion level. - that is 1 part in 1,000,000,000 parts. (as a reference - one percent is 1 part in 100 parts.)
(c) Evaluate, develop and establish the environmental safeguards in reference to the dangers posed by the chemicals we were going to use - for the first time - in industrial quantities. One of them, among its side effects in a human exposed to it, was insanity.

We just had to do it - and it was done in record time - 3.5 years.

etc., etc.

We could go on and on with similar examples. I, and my colleagues, have been involved so many times in "making possible the impossible" that when I hear/see today's scientific wimps I become very impatient.

Scientists of that vintage would have found an impregnable fire wall to protect computer data. That I know without a doubt. We accomplished far more complicated deeds with fewer tools.

m de P

P.S. I am not bragging. Then and now I still consider the above "all in a (normal) day's work" - nothing to "write home about".

miguel de Portugal comments

Frankly, I cannot see how I am being arrogant, as the former cooperator clearly implies.

First of all, I was a key (not the only one!) player in all of those projects, thus, without the expertise of true scientists in the fields of analytical chemistry, mechanical design, metallurgy as well as a tremendous team of craftsmen - from electricians to pipe fitters - those projects would have never succeeded.

It could be that God placed such fine men and women in my team and the rest of the "scientists" were as incompetent as most are today, but, if I would claim that - that would really be arrogance!

Our original and central point of that "Sharing Life Experiences" letter was, and is, that today, the excellent and brilliant scientists seem to be the exception while the intellectually challenged seem to be in the majority, whereas in the period we have covered, the profile was reversed: The majority were excellent and brilliant scientists while only a minority were intellectually challenged.

I will not apologize for what I wrote since God knows well my heart and knows my true position and intentions.

My God! I cannot even claim my "Yes!" to Him. As I do not tire of saying and writing - without His Grace I would have probably said something like: "Are You kidding?" when He said, leave all behind and follow Me.

I do regret if what I have written have been misunderstood, but that, is out of my hands but not out of the reach of my prayers.

  Thank you for the picture representing the passage in Luke 4:16-21 (1). This is one of my favorite scripture passages;

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. Wherefore he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the contrite of heart,

To preach deliverance to the captives, and sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of reward."

I am the poor of spirit, the captive of a sinful nature, blind to my brokenness and in great need to be set at liberty from my own selfishness and lack of faith.

I am the bruised reed and smoldering wick that Christ will not break or quench.

Greatly praised is His Name for I know what the Lord has done for me and what He has rescued me from! I love Christ very much and I am grateful beyond words for what He has done for me.

Miguel thank you for what you do in His Name and for the opportunity to allow God to work a miracle in both of our lives.

The above declaration is the confirmation that you are on the right road, moving in the right direction and at a speed set by God.

The closer we - anyone of us - get to God, the brighter His light gets; the brighter the light gets, the better we can see our sinful nature, our brokenness, our selfishness and our lack of faith. This awareness - under the guidance of God - fuels our drive to strive to become better, just for the love of Him. Therefore, instead of becoming despondent we become re-energized. When someone feels that he/she has "made it" - that is, they do not belong to the "sinful nature, our brokenness, our selfishness and our lack of faith" Club, they have started their free fall down to Hell.

As miguel has said elsewhere: The day his confessor told him (already 25 + years ago) that he was so spiritually advanced that he did not need the Sacrament of Reconciliation any more, miguel ran in the opposite direction as fast as he could to find another confessor!

Whenever miguel reads about the triple denial of Peter, he begs God to grant him the Grace so that he never ever denies Jesus as Peter did. Why? Because miguel, knows that he still he belongs to the  "sinful nature, .. etc." Club, and would do just as Peter did without the Grace of God. This awareness which, as explained above, fuels his drive to strive to become better,  is also a Grace from God. All the Glory is rightfully His.

The Graces that God has bestowed upon miguel are tremendous, yet they do not necessarily make miguel impervious to said Club membership.

Just two days ago God allowed him to understand - on a first person basis - how it feels to be willing to die for a complete stranger, if through such death, he could deliver said stranger from suffering and despair. This is very hard to express in human terms but, up to that point, miguel understood Jesus' personal sacrifice for the benefit of humanity on an intellectual level, now miguel has had a glimpse of that reality and the word "Awesome" does not begin to qualify it properly. Yet, miguel is  fully aware that he still belongs to the  "sinful nature, .... etc." Club.

Perhaps the following words from Paul will make more sense now:

[7] And lest the greatness of the revelations should exalt me, there was given me a sting of my flesh, an angel of Satan, to buffet me. [8] For which thing thrice I besought the Lord, that it might depart from me. [9] And he said to me: My grace is sufficient for thee; for power is made perfect in infirmity. Gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. [10] For which cause I please myself in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ. For when I am weak, then am I powerful. [2 Cor. 12]

So, dear brother in Christ,  you seem to be doing "just right" as the saying goes.

Thank you for this opportunity that you have given us to bring consolation to many.

We have been asked by a reader about our opinion regarding a report claiming that the use of nerve gas in Syria was a "False Flag" (1) operation directed from Washington.

As we have said during John Paul II Papacy - "The Vatican says" or "The Vatican was behind this or that" - did not necessarily mean that John Paul II said or endorsed this or that.

Indeed the operation may have been "directed from Washington" but not from the key players of the Obama Administration. Let's face it: The JFK (2) and RK assassinations were indeed "directed from Washington" but that does not necessarily make the key players of the Johnson Administration the brains behind such atrocities.

It is more than obvious who/what was behind the 9-11 events once one reviews the report (3) that was ready to be issued immediately after the George W. Bush Administration. "Washington" could not have been more behind it than it was, but as we have written, President Bush was not behind it. He was placed in the Oval Office because they thought he would be easy to manipulate and steer (4).

If one carefully study the Katrina Leung case, referred to in today's Private News Commentary mail out, one can see that just about anything is possible in or from Washington, D.C.

In a recent Mass reading [Judges 11:9-29] we are presented with a riddle that most overlook but, upon close inspection, proves that as we have written about (1)(2) the Holy Scriptures must be read with the heart and under the Illumination of the Holy Spirit of God.

In the reading, Jephte is going to fight the Ammonites. He then made a vow to the Lord, saying: If thou wilt deliver the children of Ammon into my hands, whosoever shall first come forth out of the doors of my house, and shall meet me when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, the same will I offer a holocaust to the Lord.

Overlooking the fact that we do not bargain with God; that is, "If you do this, I will do that", even though that is also ingrained among Christians, let us see what happens with Jepthe and his vow.

....the children of Ammon were humbled by the children of Israel. And when Jephte returned into Maspha to his house, his only daughter met him with timbrels and with dances: for he had no other children. And when he saw her, he rent his garments, and said: Alas! my daughter, thou hast deceived me, and thou thyself art deceived: for I have opened my mouth to the Lord, and I can do no other thing.

And she answered him: My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth to the Lord, do unto me whatsoever thou hast promised, since the victory hath been granted to thee, and revenge of thy enemies. And she said to her father: Grant me only this which I desire: Let me go, that I may go about the mountains for two months, and may bewail my virginity with my companions....  And the two months being expired, she returned to her father, and he did to her as he had vowed, and she knew no man.

It is believed, even by Jewish specialists in the Old Testament, that Jephte offered his daughter to God as one would offer an animal sacrifice. If Jepthe did, then he would not have been dealing with God but, instead, with some demonic entity. God - the True and Living God - the Creator of the Universe will not accept human sacrifices other than that of His Son, which was a self allowed offering and not by a third party, nor it was a suicide.

We know that if Jephte, in a moment of irrational exaltation, had intended a human sacrifice to the True and Living God, God would have stopped him just as He stopped Abraham.

Once again, this clearly illustrates the importance of reading and interpreting the Holy Scriptures under the brilliant Light of the Holy Spirit of God.... otherwise, the above passage could be used to "prove" that the True and Living God accepts human sacrifices, which is a lie! Only demonic entities wish for, and move lost souls to offer, them.

Of course, I am not a wise book learned scholar but I happen to know God and THAT makes up for my lack of book learned "knowledge".... by a long shot!

Do most of us strive to thank God as He deserves to be thanked? Do most of us strive to Glorify God as much as He deserves to be Glorified?

Even those who frequently say "God Willing" and/or "Thanks be to God" do not even come close in striving (1) to do so as they should.

Where do you rate in that "striving" scale?

We will use the following personal exchange which took place three days ago to illustrate our point.

The letter is from a High School friend with whom I correspond, on mostly family matters, since we reconnected several years ago. We have known each other for over 55 years.

Last Wednesday Alan's sister (her sister in law) passed away - we lost both a sister and a friend because she was both. I have not been at the office since then. The funeral was yesterday and today we were remembering her with great sadness.

Knowing her well, I could read much sadness in her brief note, thus my response:

May Eternal Light Shine Upon Her and May Her Soul Rest in Peace.

It is a blessing that all of you were able to accompany her all the way to the end, and then, to her burial.

I did not have that privilege with my father, mother, brother, nephew or any of  my aunts and uncles. As a matter of fact, I have not been able to visit my mother's grave. In addition, I do not expect to be able to attend my sisters burials just as I could not assist to my brothers last moments of real agony and burial.

Therefore, in all your sorrows - count your many, many Blessings!

No, I was not hosting a "pity party" or an "ain't it awful party for myself". We were illustrating to her that we must always look for reasons to Thank and Glorify God no matter what the circumstances are, because there are always many! Death is a natural event; being able to be physically close to the loved one when it happens, is a Grace and Blessing from God to Whom we must Thank unceasingly.

Of course, I have been Blessed in a greater measure than she has because living apart with God and serving Him - as He called me (2) - is the greatest joy a human can have, only second to spend an Eternity with Him.

Let us pray....
(1) We say "strive" because we could never, ever!, be able to fully express the gratitude we owe to God
(2)  The call is different for each one of us.

Isn't it interesting..... what Domain traffic statistics can reveal?

Since we published the latest document A sexually abused victim speaks loud and clear, 96.4 % of those who received the announcement by mail visited it while only 32 % of those who saw the announcement on the Board of Updates visited it.

Without a doubt, if the post in the Board would have had something to do with the latest escapade of a movie or TV star or the landing of a UFO on Galveston Island, we are sure that the document would have been visited at least 68 %.

Once the News Commentary page went private, only 50 % of those who visit it regularly have requested to be included in the News Mail List. Maybe the other 50 % do not want to reveal themselves.

One thing is for sure: As we privatize certain pages the unwanted guests will be eliminated from our readership.

Amazing, truly amusing! or was it Amusing, truly amazing!?

Now that hopefully everyone understands that God does not punish us (1),  let us take a look at a recent Gospel reading [Matthew 25: 14-30]. How many times most have read and/or heard this passage! but now it may show the informed faithful its real, and well hidden, message.

Let us look at just a few of the lines:

About those who trusted and loved their lord....

His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant, because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. And he also that had received the two talents came and said: Lord, thou deliveredst two talents to me: behold I have gained other two. His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant: because thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will place thee over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

About the one who feared his lord and not trusted him...

But he that had received the one talent, came and said: Lord, I know that thou art a hard man; thou reapest where thou hast not sown, and gatherest where thou hast not strewed. And being afraid I went and hid thy talent in the earth: behold here thou hast that which is thine.

Now, acting like this servant made him to be....

And his lord answering, said to him: Wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sow not, and gather where I have not strewed: Thou oughtest therefore to have committed my money to the bankers, and at my coming I should have received my own with usury. Take ye away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him that hath ten talents. For to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: but from him that hath not, that also which he seemeth to have shall be taken away. And the unprofitable servant cast ye out into the exterior darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

In other words.... there really are some unsavory consequences for those who fear and distrust God. Otherwise, why would Jesus make such a point about this?

It is truly amazing and rewarding to see how much richness we can find in the depths of the Word of God.

We are primarily responsible for the disgraces that fall upon us.
